  1. oh, and i had my hair done at L'Occoco (spelling might be off) - but it was in town in PV
  2. welcome! i was married at Las Caletas - and SO wanted to go to LeKliff but we just didn't make the time. i can't wait to hear all about it! i flew Leigh Miller (photog) in from CA - but there are so many photographer options - just let us know if you have questions, and we can try to help. as for points - you'll earn them quick just by posting, reading, etc. - but if you need to open something and can't, just let us know and we can donate some points to you!
  3. yup - i got the video, it was the one purchased though vallarta adventures. totally gives a different viewpoint than the pictures, right? i love it - it's so fun to watch. hmm - i may have to watch it again tonight. i definitely didn't bring any shells or tell Nicole to add anything - i really gave her creative freedom. were the shells on the guest book table? we had a photo mat for people to sign instead of a guest book - she even decorated that (the leaves, etc.). honestly - they really take pride in what they do, and they're good at it. granted, i didn't really have any specific requests, or wasn't too picky - but she went above and beyond to make sure things looked nice.
  4. since the main reason we sent out STDs was to get people to book, we sent them out after we booked the location. i'd be worried to send them out before if you don't have anything booked - things could change!
  5. oh yea - i was totally scared for my hair - as were all of my guests! if you look at my photos, my face looks like i am scared for my life! as for which way teh aisle faces, the reason i chose the straight one is because then you could see the ocean, and the jungle - the best of both worlds!
  6. wow - there's been a flood of Jamaica brides. welcome!!
  7. in the upper left corner, go to User CP - then edit signature ... hope that helps!
  8. welcome! or should i say, welcome back! is most of your planning done, or do you still have a lot to do?
  9. that's great to hear, courtney. what a huge weight lifted off of your shoulders! we'll promise to allow this, only if you promise not to forget about us, and keep checking in.
  10. heehee - Nicole Polk - Polk A Dot - that's cute.
  11. welcome, Becky! you're getting married on my birthday! let us know if you have any questions ... there some very helpful Jamaica brides on here.

  13. there's also a trash the dress website and i don't think it would be rude at all to just help explain what it is. but i know there are also photogs that will just do a TTD (weird that someone wouldn't) Trash the Dress!
  14. i'd be SO happy to have Madeline as my daughter. funny thing is, she's the one i always say is just like me, just her personality. and she's Paul's god-daughter. how perfect!
  15. well i wonder why we had thatched stuff. i did like the look, i am not complaining, but wonder why they have it at some weddings and not others!
  16. hi! welcome to the forum. like others have mentioned there are so many options, depending if you want local or if you want to fly someone in to PV (I flew Leigh Miller in), and what your budget is. here are some other threads to check out ... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...l-pricing.html http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ographers.html
  17. i know - they were super cute, and so excited to "officially" call me aunt ann. they had been talking about it for months! made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
  18. i do think there was that green turf like stuff under the thatched mats - no idea why we got them, and you didn't! you can kind of see in this pic ... and here you can really see them starting to come off, and the candles on the edge made me nervous! and here's where they start on fire!
  19. we did have our welcome dinner at Dreams - and I have to be honest, there wasn't much that went right! the food was good, but that was about it. have you had a chance to read my review? hopefully the new WC is better, but i don't have much good to say about Marilu. here's my review: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ooooooong.html ha - i didn't know they weren't gay friendly. oh well - since more than half of my family falls under that category, i bet they were a little surprised!
  20. btw - just going to throw this out there - you don't HAVE to have a seating chart, you could just have "open" seating. if you're concerned about family being close, you could just have a couple reserved tables close to you.
  21. welcome, Erin! there are definitely some brides on here that can help you (but not me so much!)
  22. i wish i knew which clipart one you liked - i'd try to play with it. i am taking a break from work! lol
  23. welcome! are you leaning towards any particualar island?
  24. ok, can you hit 'ctrl' and then select all of the pieces as one to move them all? or once you select all the pieces, right click and do "group" which will make them all once piece?
