  1. welcome to the forum!
  2. hi, me again! i just posted in your newbie thread too. sounds like you really know what you want! as for customs - it's all about if you hit the red or green light. we got red - but we just said all the stuff was decorations for our wedding. we didn't have as much as you will have though - the stuff we brought was pretty much all for our OOT bags. we only had 3 small bags of sea glass for the tables. don't worry - i had never seen Las Caletas before by wedding day. and i am glad i did it that way! i do want to clarify - it's not actually an island, just wanted to make sure you knew that. it's actually a remote beach/cove area that's only accessible by boat - so it may as well be an island! let us know if we can help at all!
  3. Welcome to the forum! You're getting married on my sister's birthday ... at the most romantic place on earth! Ok, a little over the top maybe, but I am a little biased. Please let me know if there's anything you need - and a link to my slideshow, and photos are in my siggy. There are a ton of helpful Las Caletas brides on here, myself and Jamy (starchild) probbaly being the most active that have already been married - and plenty more that are to be married!

  6. you're very welcome - i know there is more out there too, those were just a few threads
  7. tammy - if i can do it, you can too! i bought a book that walked me through the detail parts (like the corners of the drapes)
  8. i made mine too - just simple hanging curtains. i bought a sewing machine and everything to make them! lol - and it was still cheaper. i knew i wanted silk drapes, and they were huge windows/doors - so it was going to be spendy. tammy, i just sewed the panels, and then used the clip on hooks that hung from the rod (and clipped on the drapes) - super easy.

Paul and i were legally married in hawaii on our honeymoon for this exact reason!
