  6. oh trust me - there was a lot of trial and error on my part! i printed it all myself, and printed the center piece right on the paper, lining it up in the middle, and then folding it afterwards. i would cut a piece of scratch paper to the size of my invite and test to make sure it lined up before printing on the "good" paper

  15. i think it's awesome that you got to capture that emotion on THE day you got engaged - there's nothing better! that "cloud nine" feeling comes through in all of the pictures, it's perfect.
  16. welcome to the forum! let us know how we can help!
  17. it probably also depends on the goal of your STDs as well. like mine were sent about 5-6 mos before the wedding, and the purpose was to get people to book the resort a.s.a.p. so they could get into Dreams at a decent cost. since that was my goal, i wanted them to know that they were invited to bring a guest. by the time i sent invites (about 6-8 weeks before the wedding) it would have been too late to get the person and their guest the doscounted rates. whereas if the goal is to just let them know about the wedding date and location, you probably don't have to included "and guest" on the STD.
  18. yikes. people never stop surprising me. i hope that was a joke, or a dare.

For our wedding, we all stayed at the same resort (Dreams PV) and then yes, we arragend for a bus to take us to the marina, and then you all take a boat to Las Caletas (not technically an island). There was 1 family that chose to stay at a different hotel in PV, but that was up to them. The rest of us hung out at Dreams the whole week - it was great. But some of the girls have had their guests stay at various hotels/resorts. That part is all up to you and your guests.
  20. in the Liam & squirrel picture -is that some random man videotaping it too? too funny!

So I am going to buy a bunch of tulle and try to make it myself. Thanks for all the kind words, ladies! I do feel I made the right decision! i am sure you can do it! i thought about making mine as well, and saw a bunch of patterns at the craft store (JoAnne Fabrocs, I think). I ended up just getting mine made for me for like $60 from an online vendor.
