  1. here are some for $3.15 A-1 Party Rental China since you want so many, i bet you could negotiate a lower price - it can't hurt to try anyway!
  2. Christa - what happened to that one that just wouldn't budge on the $$ - but otherwise seemed super excited about you, and you said it seemed like a good job? i am guessing this is the one that didn't work out. that really sucks.
  3. I did get a sample of his work a while back, but not sure I still have it. Since I ended up going with the Las Caletas videographer, I didn't pursue it any further.
  4. hot damn! maybe when we meet up so I can give you the flowers (if you still want them) I can see the dress!
  5. love that dress, i can't wait to see it on you. when does it come in?

Don't know if the weekend is an option. Hmm... Also, has anyone mailed or is thinking of mailing items to Nicole to hold? I found this adorable starfish cake topper from ebay and it's fragile and I don't want to risk flying with it. thanks Marla - I just responded to your email too, but a site visit is included, but you don't have to use it if you don't want to. It's really not a necessity, unless you just want an excuse to visit LC before the wedding, or really want to look at how things will be set up. We didn't use ours. It would just basically be a free day tour, if I understand correctly. I know Marisa sent items for Nicole to hold, but not sure they ever got there. My hunch is that you're better off taking the cake topper with you as opposed to shipping it - it will be safer with you!
  7. i think they rented out the place that they got married in ... how cute is that!?

I guess I didn't look that closely! She did send me some really awesome cake pictures and I believe those were the 'basic' choices. No idea how to post them here but email me at [email protected] if you want to see them!! fondant is just a different type of icing, hard to explain - it's thicker, and more stiff than regular frosting. it often looks more smooth and you can form it easier than buttercream, for example. i'm hardly an expert though, so maybe someone else can elaborate further! or heck, just google it and you should find all sorts of help. the cakes at Las Caletas aren't included in the package price - it's $3.50 per person extra for the basic cake.

  18. is the photog you're looking at giving you a flat fee for travel? i assume they'd include all of that. since Leigh stayed at Dreams, and travel was included in her package, i didn't pay any additional. but if you were to stay somewhere that's not an AI, and travel isn't part of the photography package, i assume you'd get one flat fee that included everything, like lodging, flight, and incidentals (like meals, etc.)
