  6. they could just be general guidelines as opposed to actual rules. i've never really paid much attention to siggy sizes, mine or anyone elses, but if there were general guidelines I'd do my best to adhere to those.
  7. sooo cute! you'll have to show us the painting when it's done!
  8. i love it - but i'd be afraid it would fall off! lol
  9. oh, and if these don't work - you may just want to send jason or karen a PM and ask them for suggestions - i know they did a lot of research. and jason is a pretty good photog himself, so he's kinda particular (that's a good thing in this case).
  10. ok, check this out ... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...o-salcedo.html
  11. ugh - i can't remember who jason (lambert13) and karen (lucky ??) used. nor do i know how much they spent - but i want to say they were on a budget as well. let me look ...
  12. oohh - i'll try to come up with one. this could be a good thread!
  13. wow - you look friggin amazing! it's great to hear a success story in the midst of all of the struggling ones. and ditto ... i LOVE that dress!
  14. OMG it's beautiful! i almost cried - i think partially because i've met you, natalie. you can lance look sooo happy! and dang - way to dirty dance, girl!
  15. you mean i might actually have to get something done this weekend? huh - imagine that! thanks for letting us know, Tammy.
  16. i love it! my mom was so laid back too ... hopefully i can be like her, and my friend. i'm sure it won't be an issue. on the other hand, i have another friend that i KNOW will be paranoid about stuff like that. it will be interesting when the 3 of us get together and our kids are eating weeds or licking rocks, and hers are carrying around a bottle of hand sanitizer!

  18. that reminds me of a story. my good friend has 2 small children. she is one of the most laid back moms i know - and my goal is to be exactly like her! one day the youngest, nathan (~10 mos), was playing outside while my friend and her sister, who also has a 2 year old. nathan started licking rocks, and my friend just let him be. her sister is like - "aren't you going to stop him?" she said "nah - soon enough he'll realize it doesnt' taste good, and he'll stop." that's the perfect example! lol

I can see the benefits and potential problems with both options. For those brides who alreay experienced Las Caletas, do you have any advice on this. Thanks! I think I am one of the few Las Caletas brides that actually hired the professional to come out to Caletas and do my hair. It's definitely pricey ($300 I think), but with my hair, I just didn't want to deal with it - it was worth it for me! I think most people do their own, or have a friend/family member help them. Doing it before going over might pose to be an issue, unless you have the ability to touch it up when you get there. Are you going over early, or with the whole group? If you go over early, you might want to play in the water, etc. and may not want to do your hair beforehand. Have you booked your date yet?
  20. welcome, kelly! it would be a great help to brides to have someone here that was working for/with them to plan their destination wedding. i know it can be hard at times to plan from so far away!

Irish on Grand really helped us out in a pinch (after that other website screwed us over).
