  1. i didn't do the honeymoon registry, but i think it's a great option for some people who don't want/need gifts of "stuff" - like for people that already have an estaiblished home or something. as for the wedding website - i could take it or leave it. i don't think that many people used the one we set up. we didn't spend a ton of time on it, so it wasn't a big deal, but it wasn't used as much as i thought it would be.

Lizzy - there's one right at 50th & France too. and there are quite a few around the cities.

  4. now do I describe both of you in one word? not sure how this works w/o it being in an email! LadyP = patient TammyB = giving

  6. welcome! there are a handful of other gals from the UK on here too. also, this thread may help with some of the acronyms used on here ... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...eviations.html
  7. also, if you're interested, i do have a JCrew dress for sale for $99 or less, that I never wore ... let me find the post ok, here it is: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...tuff-sale.html
  8. welcome to the forum! like TammyB mentioned, be sure to check out the vendor rules, if you haven't already! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ease-read.html
  9. i got one for $99 - but the only reason i got a 2nd dress was because i didn't want my "real" dress to get trashed, since the plan is to sell it. i really wanted to do my TTD pics in my real dress, since i think that would make them more "special" - i think you should use your real dress!
  10. that's what i love about this forum, you get honest opinions, experiences, and reviews from both sides - and it's helpful to everyone. thank you nicole and juan!
  11. i don't know if he will require 200 to get that same price, i'd suggest calling and asking once you get a count of how many you have. can't hurt to ask!
  12. oh boy - let me find the thread. last time we did it, we ordered online - Maria (MikkiStreak) did all of the negotiating and planning, then I paid for them then had everyone pay me individually. the shipments were all sent out individually, except for the CAN girls.
  13. with the invites i just included the "traditional" stuff for the most part... the wedding invite and the wedding RSVP card. but then i also had an invite to the welcome dinner, and then the back of the wedding RSVP card had an RSVP for the welcome dinner. then the return envelope.
  14. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! try to have at least a moment of "you time" today!

Glad to hear you all had a good time! I'm game if we can get a group together ... I'm just not the best planner! There are a few MN gals out there ... and maybe some of the WI girls would come too if we met towards St. Paul or something.
