oh that's so cute, Jamy! i think i am going to give one of our children, a boy if we have one, my maiden name as their middle name - just cuz there are no boys to pass down my father's name - i'd do it as a gesture. man, you do have a lot of names! you're like a walking phone book!

huh - very interesting. like when you change your name on your credit card, for example, what do you show? i just had to show my marriage license.

that's exactly what i did - i have 2 middle names. i knew i didn't want to hyphenate, so that was out. and i also didn't wnat to get rid of my middle name. on most things i am Ann R____ - but on legal things like SS card, driver's license, passport (haven't changed this yet!), etc I will be Ann K___ H___ R___ ... all 4 names!

i didn't buy any special ink - but i also got the matte white, photo quality ones, not the glossy ones. though i did print on photo paper using the same ink once, and it seemed to work.

well, we knew we were going to Hawaii - that was always Paul's "dream" to honeymoon in Hawaii. i kind of put him in charge of the details though - he'd ask me what i thought, like "what about 2 nights in Oahu and 6 in Maui?" and we'd talk about it. but really, he did the planning and the work. and he needed me to actually book the hotels since i used all of my Marriott points - but other than that, it was all him!

OMG - our first Ireland wedding (to my knowledge anyway!) - that's so cool. where are you getting married? my husband's family is from Irelend - County Clare and we plan on visiting them all next year sometime.

Jamy - did you do it legally when you were legally married, and just haven't gone through the process of updating all of the different records you need to update? Or did you not even do it "legally" yet? I don't know what it takes to do it legally if you didn't do it when you were married - since I've always done it at the time of a marriage or divorce. But it took me years to update everything back to my maiden name when I did get divorced! And I've done most things to my new married name, only because I had a few weeks off of work and had the time - otherwise it would probably take me years again! It's just just a pain. Just make a list of everything you can think of (credit cards, drivers license/passport, financial institutions, the city, the county, etc.) that have your name - and start working the list! Oh, and as a side note, I still almost always choose "Ms" - I like that it's generic.

for the little card inserts i included with my magnet STDs I just bought the Avery (or generic brand) postcard paper (they're pre-cut) and printed them at home, I have a Canon MP530 (I think).

i do think it's strange, very! but technically, she WAS invited! like someone else mentioned, i can see where someone might think it is just a vacation, with a party/wedding thrown into the mix. interesting - is she coming by herself?
