  1. we had our dinner and all of our tables on the main, upper level. if your party is much bigger (we had ~55 people) i think you have to have some tables on another level. i can't remember exactly what pictures you're talking about, but here are some that maybe can explain where we had our dinner ... i do have some pics from other weddings as well that had tables on different levels. when you have a bigger party, they can't all fit on that upper level - i think my party size was about max this shows the upper level where we ate, and the picture was taken from standing down on the beach. there are more tables to the left that you can't see. here is a side shot - the photog was standing off to the right if you look at the previous picture. here's another picture of the dinner setup - this one taken from down on the beach again, but from the opposite side as the previous pic a night time view of dinner ... it looks like we're signing our certificate. i just love this picture!
  2. welcome Dina and Jennifer. i am sure your services will be a great help to the brides and grooms on this board!
  3. i wouldn't worry about it if it were me, but i also did the same thing. we joked about something like that happening to us - we played in our soccer game the night before we left for the wedding. i was saying how i could just see something happening to me that night, like a big scratch across my face or something. then one of my teammates walked up and she had the HUGEST black eye, she got it in her soccer game the night before. i was like "nnoooooooo!" every time i went for the ball i was a little more timid than usual ... everyone was giving me a hard time.

White Chicago sells "once wed" or sample dresses, and their inventory changes pretty often. the girl there, Ursula (sp?) i think, was very nice. i didn't find anything there that worked for me, but i was hoping i did ... i didn't mind having a dress that was worn before if i could save some $$
  6. I've been to White - it's a great place to check out, and you can take pics. I bought my dress at Belle Vie in Chicago.
  7. Jamy did a much better job of answering the "how long" question. show off. lol
  8. i don't remember how long it took, to be honest. Nicole (or Kelley) walked me down part way w/all of the flowergirls, then we waited for our cue to go the rest of the way. so it's not like you walk the whole way from the bridal casita while people wait - there's like a "staging area" in the middle. no one can see you waiting there, but you can kind of see the ceremony site. i know that didn't answer your question! sorry! as for extras - i brought none of that because someome was doing my hair for me. but the other girls brought a hair dryer and flat iron i think. there were enough towels there for us to use after showering.
  9. welcome to the forum - glad you decided to post! let us know if we can help at all.

  16. those are awesome! (btw - i added them to the post so people could see them easier!)
  17. nope - but he refused to see it, even when i'd ask if he wanted to! he'd even leave the room or plug his ears if i described it.
  18. well, i never had fun dress shopping - but i'm not a big shopper in general. i went by myself, and just bought it like i'd buy a pair of jeans. i didn't do the whole gaggle of girls thing that most brides do. just wasn't me! hang in there - you'll find what you're looking for!
  19. Mrs: Christine Bride-to-be: Julie (Julesr) .... ALMOST a bride!
  20. can you list those people that aren't eligible for MoTM (since they were MoTM in the recent past). i need a reminder!
  21. i didn't want a shower - but MIL insisted. mainly i liked that a lot of people got to meet there before the wedding, so that was nice. so i did have a shower - but i felt bad asking people to spend even more $$ on us!
