I was actually surprised I was the only one that mentioned the the alterations option! That was the first, and only thing, that popped into my head! No way would I do some drastic weight loss thing ... but hell, it's good to know these options exist! lol
  2. what about getting someone to let it out a little where it's really tight?
  3. i've heard beyond 36 weeks just isn't a good idea. and beyond 24 weeks you should talk to your doctor.
  4. well we were married in June - so that helped. but it just wasn't an issue ... i think the ceremony was around 6:20ish, and was pretty quick. then maybe 30 minutes for group pictures. our cake cutting pics were in the dark - but personally, i think it's pretty cool. our first dance was in the dark as well.
  5. oh yea - she wasn't just dancing with him, she was grinding on him! lol - it was hilarious! there was a lot of pole dancing on the boat at my reception for some reason ... apparently we have a lot of closet exotic dancers in our group!
  6. So then you definitely must not have talked to Jamy yet (starchild)! Hers was a huge party, and continued, or dare I say got a little crazier, on the boat. People definitely danced like crazy at my wedding, and Jamy's as well - and I know all of the weddings I've seen I saw people shaking their stuff on the dance floor at Caletas. Have you seen my pics? Jamy's? I honestly wouldn't let this be a concern ... your reception is what you make it. And I'm fairly confident that the other Caletas brides will back me up here! You can definitely make your wedding a huge party - as cazy as you want to! Another thing to consider, I don't know that drunken, grinding, sloppy dancing is what a professional photog is going to focus on - so perhaps that's why you're not seeing a ton of that in the professional photos. But here are some of mine ...
  7. pretty sure i can guess too! but really, are you sure you need an outside wedding coordinator? there are so many places that have their own and they do a great job (Dreams, I hear the new one is good anyway, and of couse - Las Caletas!). But so many options - and very few girls paid for extra services - or at least not that much - not even a fraction! If you go to the high end coordinator, unfortunately you're going to pay high end prices!

Gotta get my butt moving! And the last item I opened made me laugh out loud it is so cute! A beach Santa to hang on my tree, inscribed to remember BDW Secret Santa 2007! You tug on a hanging palm tree and it moves his legs, surf board and boom box. Thank you Amy for the sweet card, the gifts (love them) and happy holidays to you! how fun! are you going to be able to post pictures?
  9. I sent my Thank You notes as soon as I got the gifts - it was nice to get them all out of the way early!

And I was barefoot the whole night ... except when we went back to the boat I threw on some wedges I had (luckily) brought with me.
