  1. i'll be the first to admit i don't know very much about hanukkah - but ... HAPPY HANUKKAH!
  2. I think Aylee and Creative Montage are the 2 most popular sites. But many girls made their own. Let us know if you need help.
  3. weclome to the forum! wow - never been to a wedding - that IS amazing! just let us know how we can help!
  4. wow, what a lucky bride and groom! Elizabeth - how cool to get some pics of Juan doing his thing - we rarely get to see him on that side of the camera!
  5. well if i have a ton of posts to go through, and not a lot of time i might check the individual categories first. but for the most part - i just to the "unread posts" in the upper right corner.
  6. welcome to the forum! glad to have another mother of the groom join us! how is their planning coming?
  7. I know TammyB had a bad experience with WIP, and ended up firing them - send her a PM if you want details, or you could search for her reviews. Welcome to the forum!
  8. welcome! i'd second that suggestion of Las Caletas ... but there are so many options out there! let us know how we can help.
  9. welcome to the forum! there are so many options out there - hopefully we can help you narrow it down some.
  10. my TA (Tammy, this host here) booked our shuttles to/from the airport as well. in some cases she told us to book our own flights where it made sense. she was also great at getting the WC of Dreams to cooperate a little easier!
  11. i did add an insert along with the magnet. i got the large magnets from Vista - and then i bought the Avery matte finish postcard paper from Staples (or something) - it was the perfect size, the same size as the magnet. i just put my TA's info on there, a blurb about how we wanted them to book quickly, and all that stuff.
  12. looks like we're just no help! oh yea - i have most of the rose petals, including the ones he gave me when he proposed. granted, they're sitting somewhere in the basement collecting dust - but hey, i have high hopes that i will do something cute with them someday.
  13. i'd tell you to let go - but that means i'd probably have to let go of things like the 2nd place ribbon i got while playing soccer in high school (we took 2nd in sectionals), the cards that paul has bought me over the years (and the actual roses, all dried), and the t-shirt i bought while in Australia.
  14. i definitley think most people are using a TA, but the reasons why might be different. i wanted to use one mainly because i didn't want to deal with people calling me all of the time to ask about flights, hotel, etc. - since i travel so much i book my own travel all the time. the last thing i wanted to do was deal with other people's travel. and it was just nice for guests to have someone to call who could hook them up.
  15. Fabulous idea, Amanda! We can start our own "Pay it Forward" chain right here!
  16. well, my initial response is that this isn't about your MIL ... it's about you and your FI. but because you're new, I'll go easy and spare you my thoughts about how I really can't stand people that impose their wants on the bride and groom and how I think those kind of people are just selfish and think the world revolves around them. so since I am not doing that (heehee), i've got to think there's a location that meets all MIL's requirements (blech). the girls on here are so helpful - i'm sure we can find something!
  17. oh wow, trisha. this is a tough spot - and while i wish i could tell you some magic words that would make this easier, or tell you what to do - i can't. this is such a personal decision between you and your FI. talk to people - whether that's your doctor, minister, friends, family - whoever can help you make an informed, education decision. there are women on this forum that have gone through just about everything - so also feel free to talk to us. we're here to support you - and help in any way we can! whatever the outcome is - you'll make it through this!

Lovely. oh yea, i have a snippy response for that one too. i just blurt out ... "I got it, but thanks" or something. i'm such a snot. lol
  19. TRISHA!!!!? Everything ok? Were you able to take a test? Maybe I missed another post with the results ...
  20. ugh - this reminds me of one of my pet peeves. i often hold the door for people when coming and going, even if they're a few steps behind me. about half the time, people will just walk through w/o saying anything. i always say, loud enough so they can hear ... "YOU'RE WELCOME!" it embarasses Paul, but hey - gets my point across. usually they just look at me, and i give them a smirk. i'm especially annoyed when it's someone who has school-agfe children with them - i mean, what are they teaching their kids about manners!?
  21. mine were actually included in my wedding photography package so i don't know the breakdown.
  22. i agree - i think there was a huge pile of shoes by the stairs by the end of the evening. when it came time to board the boat to head back, everyone just had to dig for their shoes.
