congratulations, and welcome to the forum! what's your name? there are so many RM brides on here - you came to the right place!

ok, mental note - if i have to poop but nothing comes out, and i feel like i have cramps ... call the doctor! lol i think my doc said that they don't let diabetics go over their due date (probably due to the baby size) so if i don't deliver by my due date - i just might too! i'm going to try all of those "old wives tales" if nugget doesnt' show up on "his" own.

My responses ... 1. How many people joined you for the wedding on LC? i had about 50 guests 2. How was your dinner seating arrangement? How many per table etc. we had a variety - we were at a table for 2, but then there were tables of 4 anywhere to 10 3. Did you use CD's for music or Ipod? How was that? Did it truly matter that you didn't hire a LIVE band? we had CDs and the DJ - it worked out fine. earlier (cocktail hour) we had the trio. 4. How long did it take you to walk down from the spa to the alter? How many people were in the wedding? And was the timeframe of music you used enough? we didn't have a wedding party - just 4 flower girls. i have no idea how long it took, or what music was played. we just had the trio playing and not sure i even heard them! 5. How much percentage did you tip Nicole who is completely AMAZING. Or did you? Of which we are but wondered the percentage to do. She is worth the whole bundle but of course can't do that i can't remember how much we tipped - but we definitely did. maybe it was $300 for her, brad, and kelley? i can't remember - Paul took care of it. 6. Did anyone stay at the Riu Jalisco Resort? not me - I was at Dreams 7. What is the BEST memory of marrying in Las Caletas for you and hubby? just the surroundings and having all of our close family and friends. it was just so beautiful and exactly what we had envisioned. 8. What would you have done different? if you could have changed anything? i would have felt better somehow! i definitley wouldn't have worried about the details - they're really unnecessary. i can't think of anything! 9. Is there something in the water because a lot of brides are going to have a baby after returning from their wedding hahahaha maybe! lol 10. For those of you who married in the winter as we are. I noticed the video's and pictures were dark. What suggestion do you have about that? We did not hire a videographer, our uncle will film but we decided this because of the lighting situation. We didnt feel it was worth the money to have it this way. As I mentioned we are filming but not with a professional. 11. I would love to see anyone's and everyone's pictures from their LC wedding. You have all helped us so much in envisioning the way LC looks, especially since Chris and I won't see it until the 1 Jan, 08. In some ways I don't want to see it until that day but then again I feel we might just fall in love and feel so blessed to have others come see it as well. i'm pretty sure you've already seen my pics! we chose not to see it beforehand - so our wedding day was the first for both of us. it was just more special that way for us. i mean, we didn't get the point in seeing it a couple days earlier anyway. but that was just us!

Presents at reception?
LCBride2007 replied to Birdie07's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
i agree - i wouldn't open them at teh reception. and ive been to CO weddings! lol have a gift opening brunch the next day if people really care to see that event, but it's usually quite boring! i mean, how much can you "ohh and ahhh" over the pots and pans you registered for? -

Do they have electricity and where do the guests get ready if they come for the day? I am sure that I will have more questions for you! I must say that your pictures are awesome and now I can't wait to go! Thanks! Yup - that package sounds close to what we had. There isn't "real" electricity - but they do have some generators. Like, we could use hair dryers and curling irons when getting ready. I went over early w/a few girls and they have this cute little "bridal casita" that has a shower, bathroom, couch area, little bed, jacuzzi, etc. It's where we all got ready. You also have access to the showers and bathrooms in the spa if you have a lot of people getting ready at once. Thanks - we love our pictures too! Have you seen a few of the Las Caletas threads? There are so many helpful brides on here that have been, and will be married there! Oh, and Nicole and Kelley, the wedding coordinators there, are AMAZING! They're also a part of this forum, but don't post too often - they're busy meeting the needs of us crazy brides! lol But seriously, they're great to work with - and make the whole process very relaxing really.

Shower planning ettiquette???
LCBride2007 replied to bride2be's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
well, not all showers invite the moms ... since a lot of girls will have more than one, often the moms are only invited to some of them. but since they originally asked your mom for her opinion, it seems they're planning on inviting her. i honestly don't know what "ettiquette" says - but i don't think it's that huge of a deal. can your mom and FMIL make it on the day that they picked? if not - maybe you can mention to your BMs that you'd really like them both to be there, and could they work the date so that can happen? that may have been no help! lol -
we didn't have any rehearsal. i guess i didn't think about it, but it wasnt' even an option if i had wanted to! i didn't even see my ceremony site until i was walking down the aisle - but it was actually kind of fun that way!

welcome!!! i was married at Las Caletas this past June - and it was FABULOUS! I can't even tell you how perfect it was. We had the deluxe package, but I think they've changed their packages since then - but it was the one where we had the beach to ourselves all evening. we had about 50 guests - and everyone was raving the whole time about how amazing it all was. like Jamy (starchild) we also stayed at Dreams - it was perfect for us. so i don't know too much about any other hotels in the area. but there are lots of PV brides on here that will surely be able to pipe up! i have my review and pictures in my siggy, so click away! let me know if you have any specific questions.
