    well, i had my welcome dinner as a sit down/plated dinner since my reception was buffet (no choice there). so it worked out well for me. are you having a welcome or rehearsal dinner?

    that was one of the main reasons we wanted a DW - we wanted our wedding and reception ON the beach. so it was just no question for us!

    what about a beach bag, like an OOT bag, but you don't have to fill it with stuff. what kind of $$ are you looking to pay per guest?

    a lot of people just stayed at their location (maybe switching hotels) and called it a honeymoon. some people have a honeymoon scheduled for later in the year or osmething. paul and i actually flew from Mexico to Hawaii the day after our wedding for our honeymoon.

    I think Jamy's point was that actually IS caletas, or at least appears to be. All of the details are exactly as they were for all of our weddings ... I know many companies use stock photos or actors for marketing.

    it does depend on your preferences. but i do think that typically, though i am sure there are exceptions, the resort photographers aren't "awesome" and since you said you want "awesome" pics, you may want to hire your own photographer. you could check out some of the work the resort photog has done, and i am sure there are people on this forum that have used them too that can help.

    I totally agree - #1 is by far my favorite. And I actually think it photographs well, I prefer the "matte" dress to the shimmery-ness (is that a word?!) of dress #2. But that might just be me! The #3 dress almost looks too heavy to me. Oh, and I added a poll to this thread for you! Hope it helps.

    I was married in June in Mexico - definitely warm! Here is what Paul wore (I also had a pretty formal dress, possible similar to yours). No way was I going to ask him to wear a jacket! lol
