  2. Ahh - just saw this comment, Stephania, sorry! Paul and I both went, and we got to hear the heartbeat - SO COOL! We didn't get to see the baby yet, that comes at 20 weeks - and that will be pretty cool too. Paul said that hearing the heartbeat made it a little more real for him - YAY!
  3. I knew it wouldnt be fun to have our kitchen remodeled, but I didn't factor in trying to work from home at the same time. Not only do we have no kitchen, or any appliances (except for a fridge, thank goodness), but our "kitchen" has moved to the basement, which is right below the real kitchen that's under construction. What that means is that all sorts of "stuff" is falling from the ceiling into our bowls and food. Good thing we put most of our food in plastic bins to keep the mice away! And having a conference call while there is jackhammering (or whatever it is) right upstairs is quite a challange. At least my clients are very understanding! I keep telling myself how great it's going to look when it's done, and this will all be worth it - right? <sigh> Here's my current kitchen ... (i forgot to take "before" pics!): http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...0Abt2zdw3btmKg http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...0Abt2zdw3btmKg http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...0Abt2zdw3btmKg
  4. yes, Cesar is all about training - it's not so much a "whisperer" as a behaviorist (if i had to try to explain it) - i've watched only a few times.
  5. you're right - we do have one, but i can't find it either. i know his name is Cesar Millan, but that's about all i know! that and my sister (who has 2 rescue dogs) swears by him.
  6. heck, i probably wouldn't do anything. they didn't book when they should have - they should have to find alternatives! i'm so unforgiving that way!
  7. Just to add another reason, and the main reason, I used a TA for my wedding (though I had never used one before). I travel for work A LOT, so I often get a lot of travel questions from my friends and family. I really did not want to deal with all of our guests contacting Paul and I with questions regarding their travel to our wedding. It may sound bad, but I just didn't want to deal with it! It was so nice that they could contact Tammy, and she could help them and guide them (thanks, Tammy!). And if/when last minute problems came up, my guests didn't have to try to track me down, and my wedding week vacation wasn't interrupted.
  8. no problem! i really liked a few of them as well.
  9. just searching for "starfish bouquet jewel" on google, i came up with a few sites. BRIDAL BOUQUET JEWELS BY THE SEA COLLECTION STARFISH - eBay (item 6039667455 end time Jan-17-08 11:44:30 PST) Pink Diamond Wedding Design The Dazzling Designs Company - Other Products edited: I think I ordered mine from that 3rd one
  10. welcome to the forum! there are so many options that will meet your criteria. i was married at Las Caletas, which is a private beach/cove area just south of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. we stayed at Dreams in PV. let me know if you have any questions!
  11. seriosuly - i want to go back. i want the margaritas all day before getting married. i want the paella. <sigh>
  12. I just searched for her name on google and found this: SHERRLYN BORKGREN ~ PHOTOGRAPHER
  13. another note, if you're thinking of moving your ceremony because of what guests might think, i wouldn't do that. as a guest, i probably wouldn't even notice or give it a second thought. but i'm just not the type to notice something like that. if you're thinking of moving because of how YOU feel about the place, then that's a different story!
  14. this might be a lot to ask of them, but is there any way you can ask for pictures of what it might look like covered up before making a decision?
  15. if you were supposed to get a proof before shipment, then i absolutely think you should let them know you're not happy and wouldn't have approved the proof. hopefully it was just an oversight and they will work with you to make this situation right!
  16. welcome! i am kind of a Maui bride - i had my wedding in Mexico, but had my legal ceremony in Maui. check out the link to my review in my siggy! and congrats!
  17. that should work. but there should be a button on your computer called "PrtSc" or "Print Screen" or something. when the image is on your computer (the website is open) you should just be able to press that button. then paste the image into an email, or document.
  18. i hear ya! i was afraid of rain too - but none in sight! just be sure people have access to water during the ceremony and reception, and they should be ok. another thing you could do would be to maybe provide some parasols?
  19. well, glad my babbling helped! lol not sure what time your wedding is, but in terms of heat, i bet it cools down a ton after the sun sets.
