  1. I actually preferred going by myself - I didn't like the idea of women fussing all over me. It was faster, I tried on what I wanted, got in, and got out! Also, I didn't have the impact of other people's reactions to sway my own opinion, ya know? After I narrowed it down to 2 I brought a friend, but I had pretty much already decided anyway!

    Hello hello

I can't believe I just saw this thread ... I wanted to pass along a belated welcome to a fellow (potential) LC couple!

  6. since it's not you that sends out the invites for your shower, typically, the people hosting DO put the registry info. on the invites. however, i do think it's tacky to include it on your wedding registry, since you're the one sending those out.
  7. good point - I do that too, clicking through the slideshow automatically just so i can see the pics faster. so i think decreasing the interval time is a good idea. but i like how you can see the pics below the slideshow. for those that are looking for something specific, or are too impatient, they can click on the specific images they want to see.
  8. I agree with Christine - I noticed that they did load a little slow, but I'm one that if I see progress (the little circle) I'd be more likely to stick around. And it was a little slow, but I don't think it was unbearable, not sure I would have really noticed had you not asked. And it's so nice that the pics are big - it makes you want to see them all! But I also had a little extra incentive ... I got to see myself! lol I just said to Paul "we're on Leigh's website!" It was fun to see those pics again - its seems so long ago, but was really just last winter - probably exactly a year ago. P.S. I have DSL and connect at 54.0 Mbps
  9. oh my gosh - i can't believe it's time already! wishing you happy and healthy wedding thoughts!
  10. no big deal! hell, i described the dress in detail in front of paul, he still couldn't picture it. honestly, it's going to be a huge impact when he SEES you in the dress, regardless of whether or not you've told him about each thread on the dress! forget about it!

It really helps put things in perspective for me, in a good way. Just wondering for those of you who have already had your wedding, how much did the LC part of the wedding costs? I guess it depends on how many people. We are thinking of 20 - 30 guests? Just ball park figures would be helpful because I have to convince the other half. And having that info will help a lot. Thanks It's pretty easy to figure out the LC costs I think - they have it pretty well spelled out on their website. And if you tell Nicole and/or Kelley what you want, they give you a pretty good estimate. Also, they have this (or at least did have) wedding planner thing on their website. You punch in the package, # of guests, etc. - and it spits out an estimate. Doesn't it? Either way, I am pretty sure all of the additional costs are listed. It's basically the package price + the per person charge + any extras you choose (extra flowers, DJ, fire dancers, etc.). Have you spoken to Nicole or Kelley yet? If I had to guess, I think my Caletas total was around $10K - give or take a thousand or so.
  12. I didn't even think about posting a picture of the outfit - what is wrong with me!? I will get right on that.
  13. Hang in there, Tammy! You and Steve are so strong, I know you'll pull through these rough times. I wish I was closer so I could come over and take Jackson off your hands for a little while.
  14. I guess if he feels strongly about it - I say let him! But it doesn't seem very comfortable to me at all! Are you having an AHR, maybe he could wear the kilt there?
  15. I have never made them, nor am I a Martha Stewart, but I'd totally be willing to try to make them for you! You could send me the fabric or something, and tell methe measurements.
  16. i do think it would look nice. another option ... what about making table runners - that way you could pick the exact fabric you want!
  17. oh, you mean the link to another thread - got it! You can just copy the URL that shows up in your window on top, and then paste that into the post - that's the easiest way. If you want to change the title of one of your threads, then a moderator would need to do that for you I think - just let us know!
  18. Why do you want to copy a thread? You should just be able to respond in that original thread. Can't you?
  19. Have you tried searching the forum? I know people have looked into them, not 100% sure if anyone has ordered though.
  20. Only a passport is necessary to match, regardless if it's international travel or not. Just 1 "legal" photo id matching the ticket is fine. I mean, not everyone has a DL. Your friend is fine - mine don't match either.
  21. I was going to do one the next day - but I don't know exactly where! Honestly, you could ask Leigh - I know she had a place in mind. Maybe it was at Dreams - just early? I know she's shot a few weddings there - I wonder if she's done a TTD - not sure.
  22. ditto! in this same section you posted this in there is a sticky called "OOT bag info" and if you sort this section by # of replies (by clicking on the column header) you can see which threads have the most replies - this one is a good one ... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2433
  23. where did you get the URL? when in photobucket right-click on the image, and select properties. then grab the URL that shows up there ... paste THAT into the little yellow mountain icon thingy.
  24. absolutely - they're all over the place on this forum! check out the Wedding Reviews or Photos area - that's where most people post them. I have mine in my siggy.
