Hi Danielle! This forum started as a Cabo, Mexico destination wedding forum just over a year ago - and has expanded since then to include all sorts of destinations. But we're still in the process of growing - so we don't have a ton of info. on every place just yet - but we're getting there! Especially with all of the great U.S. locations. Heck, I was the first PV bride on here - can you imagine!? Anyway, it would be great if you share your info. on Charelston wedding - future brides and grooms would greatly appreciate it, I'm sure! Happy planning!
  11. and my weekends are pretty empty ... which is why I will go along with what the busier gals decide.
  12. I am free most weekends ... at least right now. I will have a weekend that I will be in FL visitng my dad, and Chicago visiting family - but right now we haven't booked anything. I THINK I will be gone the weekend of Feb. 29, and March 29, but that could change. Does anyone have a tighter schedule (I'm sure most of you do!) that wants to suggest an open date?
  13. Yep, I just looked too - I still see your posts, I thought maybe they had been deleted or something. Not sure I've ever seen this happen before!
  14. Sarah - you sure about this? It sounds like you're going to be quite busy! lol
  15. We didn't do a site visit - nor did I think one was necessary. The first time I saw my hotel (Dreams PV) was when we arrived there for the week of the wedding, and the first time we saw our wedding site was as we were walking down the aisle. Honestly, it's not at all necessary if you have a WC or someone to contact for everything you need. There are some that are more "control freaks" (I only mean that in a positive way!) that need to do site visits, some more than once!, but honestly, it wasn't something we had time to do, and we didn't need to!

Like our Gran Bahia thread is a few pages long. Is it cool to keep using it for questions we have? I hope I am making sense,....I am sleeeeeeeepy. I think I understand, and good question. But honestly, I don't think the importance of using the search before asking a question that may have already been asked is as critical for the server performance as it is for 1) keeping the forum organized - it's so much nicer to have only a couple main threads on a topic rather than having a bunch that all say the same thing and 2) keeping the sanity of the existing members and moderators - like others have said, it's frustrating to work so hard to keep this forum running and organized like we all do (I am constantly moving threads to their proper location, etc.) just to have someone come in and ignore the simple layout of this forum, and the fairly intuitive search feature and want us to do their work for them. and it's a tad annoying to have to answer the same question 10 times a week when a simple search would find the answer. So in short, if there's already a thread out there on the topic you'd like to discuss - absolutely revive it!

  19. i LOVE LOVE LOVE it! i like the sparkle - that will look so good at night and in photos - i'm a bling kind of gal, i like sparkles
  20. I could be wrong - but I actually think that most people don't have a rehearsal at a destination wedding. But if you want one - I'd say do it later in the day.
  21. Welcome, Erin! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t921
  22. Welcome! Since this is your first post, I've moved it to the Newbies section. Please also read these if you haven't already: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t921
  23. try reading some of the wedding reviews - i think most girls put the name of their trios in there. although some might not know the names - i know i didn't know the name of mine, my WC just arranged it (but I was in PV)
  24. Happy Birthday To My Dear, Sweet, Bdw Sister!
