honestly, the fact that Obama doesn't have as much "experience" is refreshing to me. hell, look where "experience" has got us thus far. having been in politics for your whole life isn't necessarily an appealing thing to me - it just means you've got too many ties, and too many obligations. and that's one nice thing about this country, technically, those people on that list DO have a chance to win! i realize it's not realistic, but at least they're getting out there and giving it their best! (I actually didn't even look at who was on the list!) ok, off to the gym ... I can't wait to see how this takes off!

i don't have kids, but what i've seen a lot of people do is have the children there for the wedding, and for the time immediate before the wedding, and maybe a little after. then often the rest of the family/guests head home, or the bride and groom go elsewhere. then the children go home with another relative of friend of the family. is your daughter close to your FI's parents? Would she be comfortable staying with them?

YAY! I just mentioned it in another random thread where I noticed you had changed your name. I like it - it feels more "personal!" It was weird when I changed my name from my former initials to "AnnR" (I tried for just Ann, but it was taken). I normally like to remain somewhat anonymous (another word I can't spell!) when in public forums, but oh well! It's not like there aren't a million AnnRs out there! Oh, and the picture kind of gives it away anyway! lol Funny how all (or most?) of the mods have all ended up going to some version of their real names as usernames!

my wedding was in June, and it was hot - but no complaints here!

i just did it fast - it was hard! i feel like i had the same 5 people. i really tried to mix it up - but not sure how good i did!

my first e-ring was pear shaped, and i wore it with the point facing my fingernail (like you). it's really a personal preference. somebody will probably tell you there's a right and wrong way ... but who cares!? lol i'd wear it how you like it best.

oh poo. i hate it when that happens. treat yourself to something nice later ... maybe a pedicure, a massage, or a favorite treat! or just get your PJs on after work and have a nice dinner w/DH.
