Well...as I said in my intro post... 1. I still have some decisions/planning/convincing to do but I think my mind and my heart just know THIS IS THE PLACE! The same way people say you'll just know the dress when you put it on...(I found my dress so I know that feeling!) AND 2. Even though I love it I still have tons of questions about the LC packages that people have arranged. It's hard to get a sense of what the set up would look like with only the things included in the base price, and I'm trying to get an idea of budget, etc. (One thing I do know for CERTAIN is that my FI will want the fire dancers...he'll be SO EXCITED when I show him!) You're very welcome - I have to admit, I love them too! I didn't see LC until my wedding day - nor did my hubby. And I'm glad we did it that way - it was more special, in a way. It was just that much more magical. Though Jamy (starchild) who will be sure to make an appearance here tonight is another LC bride, and she's been there multiple times - and knew she wanted to get married there. As for extras ... we had none really. We did do the fire dancers (great choice!), and I guess we changed up the chuppa from the standard palm leave one. But I think that was about it - no extra flowers, no special table linens, etc. LC is just a natural beauty!
  2. Cabo isn't one of the cheapest vacation spots, but it's very affordable given what is available. if you still want Mexico, but want even more inexpensive, try considering somewhere like PV - i think it's less expensive than Cabo.

  4. welcome! do you know where in PV yet? I was married at Caletas this past June. oh, just saw your profile ... congrats!
  5. is this it? (found it here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...108#post237044)
  6. I think I know ... was it Rachel (LC_Rachel) that recently posted a picture? Please hold ... I'm on the hunt ...

  8. That could be the case - I know we Mods did a lot of cleaning up in the recent past, deleting or merging some of hte older or duplicate threads. Also, Tammy (host) recently ran some diagnostics to help fourm performance and to clean up any orphan post/users - so perhaps that causes some broken links. Like Glenda said, let us know the specific thread, and maybe we can help. We'll try anyway!

Quote: Originally Posted by Nrvsbride Btw Ann you have every right to only care about certain issues. There is nothing wrong with that. You are entitled to formulate your opinions and decisions on whatever criteria you so desire. I should clarify here. It's not that I care about only certain issues ... but I have prioritized them, as everyone does. It's very unlikely that you will find 1 candidate out there that feels/believes exactly the way you do on every topic (or "issue") - so the only option that leaves, unless you do happen to find an exact match, is that you have to prioritize what is important to you, and then find the candidate that matches as closely as you can. So I didn't mean to say that only a couple issues matter to me - but I definitely have them prioritized. Just not sure I know what those "top 5" issues are just yet!
  10. I also want to point out, in the interest of debate, that what might be an "issue" for some might not be for another. We all have our own life experiences, opinions, and perspectives. I am the type that focuses on what impacts me directly, things like Health Care and the Housing Market, for example. To be quite frank, the war doesn't impact me directly - I realize that I am one of the few and lucky. So when you say to look at "all of the issues" - I might be, the issues that are important to me. Does that make sense? I have to look at what the issues are for me, and my life.
  11. oh, FYI - if you haven't seen or read them already - i have a few links in my suggy that might be helpful.
  12. Welcome, Pazoop (what's your name? - that's my first question! lol)! I was married at Caletas this past June - and you can't go wrong. Please take a look at all the Caletas threads on here - and let us know how we can help! I'm adding you to the list of [potential] Caletas couples! Congrats on your engagement!

DWs are such a different beast from your regular family vacation. If your TA can help you with all of the DW details - that is HUGE, in my opinion. Like setting up the room blocks (and getting you perks!), helping with the welcome or rehearsal dinner, etc. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t10706 Hope that helps!
  15. it's sad though, really, how much $$ comes into play. there are probably so many qualified candidates out there that just couldn't raise enough $$ to run for president. we'll never know!
  16. You slap me once, I'll slap you back! lol Well said Jamy ... I'm with ya on this one!
  17. who was the guy in the white & blue hat? he sure likes to be in front of the camera! lol (oops - was that you, jay?)
