  2. So I was scouring my pictures trying to come up with some before pictures of the kitchen, and here is all I found. These are from the weekend we moved in, so please excuse the mess! We basically tore down a wall between our dining room and kitchen, and made it 1 larger room. The hutch and orignal dining room color (the hutch remains the exact same). http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...0Abt2zdw3btmKg This pics shows where we now have the pantry, and the wall with the stove & microwave, and the old cabinets. http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...0Abt2zdw3btmKg This is standing in the old dining room, looking into the kitchen. http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...0Abt2zdw3btmKg (for comparison sake, here's the same view as it is now) http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...0Abt2zdw3btmKg
  3. Sooooo close, yet so far. We have our countertops, and cabinet doors - and even hardware. Now we just need a backsplace, our stove and fridge, and a few other minor things (like a final paint job!). We're hoping we're only a couple weeks away. http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...0Abt2zdw3btmKg http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...0Abt2zdw3btmKg http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...0Abt2zdw3btmKg http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/4...0Abt2zdw3btmKg

Best Destination Wedding Forum - Announcements in Forum : General Wedding Information You should be able to do other searches on photographers, and find exactly what you're looking for! Welcome to the forum! Yup - I am an old married gal now, and almost a mommy! I loved Elizabeth's work - still do! I ended up working with Leigh Miller - and LOVED her. Photography was where we wanted to spend our $$ - so it was expensive, but worth it IMHO. I'm also familiar with Sergio - he's very talented as well.
  10. this guy isn't too smart - he's losing a lot of potential business from thsi forum!
  11. in general, some tips I know to help when faced with a big meal ... 1) drink water - lots of it! it fills you up and keeps your hands full 2) if you can, eat a healthy snack before going out to eat - you won't be as hungry or as tempted 3) eat SLOW ... i am the fastest eater, and you end up eating more than you need to. give yourself some time to feel full. like maybe try to put your fork down between each bite. or do something else to distract yourself.
  12. like others have said - it really does depend. if he was going to come anyway, and has now offered to shoot your wedding while he's there, covering his expenses may be a great deal for all involved. but typically you do pay for the travel plus the fee for his work - so unless he's really doing this for a vacation and to build his portfolio, i think you may need to pay a little more. i'd suggest talking to your friend to see what he has in mind before it gets too complicated!
  13. Welcome, Cody! Please be sure to check these out if you haven't already: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t921
  14. We were dating about 4 years when we got married - but I knew him for closer to 6 or so.
  15. Welcome, Audrey! I was just in your neck of the woods visiting my dad for a long weekend - he lives in Naples, FL over the winter.
  16. Remember - muscle may weight more than fat (that is so cruel!), but it also burns fat better ... so build lthat muscle!
  17. Thanks, Nicole! Funny - Jessalyn just posted something else about her article in this magazine. P.S. Nice to see you on here!
  18. No problem if you can't send the picture until tonight - I think most pictures will come in later today, so hopefully I can post results tonight or by latest tomorrow morning.
  19. I have a few updates so far - everyone is doing great! Keep 'em coming - I will post results once I have all of the numbers.
  20. no prob - the advanced option is the "multi-quote" - the MQ button next to the quote one. you hit "MQ" on multiple message if you want to quote a few of them in 1 response. then hit "QUOTE" on the last message. have fun!
  21. ahhhh - got it. FYI - see the 4 buttons at the bottom right corner of each post? the 2nd one from the right says "QUOTE" - just hit that button and it will automatically quote that post in your reply. make sense?
  22. that's not really a per head fee - just what it breaks down to. this includes EVERYTHING you need for the wedding. there is a lump sum fee (~$6000) then a $40/person fee, plus anything extra like photographer, cake, etc. I think Rachel was just breaking it down to what it actually costs per person. And also, this is for a 100% private evening on a secluded beach, including the boat ride to and from the marina!
  23. this is the place to mention the name - that's what we're here for, to share info.! also keep in mind, if something is a little more expensive at LC, it could be because the vendor has to travel by boat out to the location and can't just come and go. i didn't go with any "outside" vendors that Caletas didn't hook me up with (flowers, DJ, minister, cake, etc.), other than my photographer, so i didn't shop around much.
