  1. Doesnt it sound lovely. I hope it ends up looking like the picture I have in my head. The candles lite up with a night time ceremony sound just perfect to me.
  2. Those are such beautiful pictures. I'm so excited that a poolside ceremony might be an option. With candles all around I just think it would be so elegant and gorgeous. I cant wait to really start planning. Thanks everyone. Jackie
  3. Yes Ive seen some of the pictures that you have put up of both Dreams and the Riu. They are both so gorgeous. Maybe I'll go back and look at them and see if I can spot any places for a poolside wedding. The Gazebos are also beautiful and if all else fails we wont have much of a problem using one of them. But for some reason I have this picture in my head of a wedding poolside at dusk. Thanks so much for all your great replies to all my silly questions. Jackie
  4. I'll have to do that when we get closer to the actual date. These days I'm just getting 2007 quotes to give me a rough idea of ours and our guests expenditure. I don't think any 2008 flights for May are anywhere near being out yet. Ha Ha there goes my pre-planning craziness rearing up again. Jackie
  5. So far we are getting married at the end of May 2008 at the Riu and will spend the first 6 days with our family and friends and the last 5 days will be our homeymoon. We wont change hotels though. Jackie
  6. Wow those are great prices. Does your company also include or provide airfare from Boston/Logan or Rhode Island/TF Green? I tried to go onto your website but I was having trouble navigating through and getting Riu or the Dreams resorts to come up. Thanks Jackie
  7. Good information, thanks. Have you ever heard anything about all-inclusive.com or allinclusiveoutlites.com I believe their the same company but they seem to have the cheapest prices and I was planning on telling my guests to go through them. However I'm a little weary because Ive never dealt with them before. Also just on a side note. We are members of BJ's (which cost $30.00 per year) and they seem to have decent package prices on their vacations via their website. Pretty much on the same line as Felines basement. Thanks Jackie
  8. Hello, I was just wonderring if anyone has ever had or heard of having there wedding ceremony poolside as opposed to on the beach which we definitly do not want or at the gazebo which is what we would do if not poolside. We are torn between Dreams and Riu resort and if one of them offers a pool side ceremony it would make the decision process easier. Also, I have heard many good things about both Dreams and the Riu resorts, If anyone has any reason why they picked one over the other I would love to hear from you. Thanks so much, Jackie

    Hello there

Just wanted to give a hello to everyone. I am in the very early stages of planning (as in not engaged yet). We have decided to try and purchase our first home this winter and hold off on the engagement untill then. However that being said, we are definite about heading to Mexico when we do say our "I do's" in April/May of 2008. Okay, I realize this is a bit away, but I am a total plan freak and I cant help but research everything to death. Ive been reading a lot in the forums and have to say that out of any other website this one is hands down the best when it comes to getting real information from real people. The pictures are beutifull and everyones posts are so helpfull. Thanks so much. I'm sure youll be hearing a very lot out of me in the near future. Jackie
