Janet, I agree.... I am strongly firm on not having a seating plan. We went to Ryan's sisters wedding a couple years ago (along with about a dozen other weddings the same summer..UGH), there was no seating plan & buffet style dinner and it was hands down the best 2 ideas I have taken away from any wedding. People sat where they wanted and ate whenever and whatever they wanted. It was great and it worked out fabulously. I do understand why people have seating plans though. I think it really depends on each individuals guest list. We wont need one because everyone that is going (we estimate between 30-50) already knows everyone else pretty well. I'm not concerned with anyone feeling uncomfortable. Jackie
  4. Good question Kash I'm thinking the same thing. I'm wondering if anyone knows it the sound quality is just as good? I want the music to be heard as if it were comming from a DJ. Jackie

  6. Congratulations, Welcome home, it sounded like a great time even with the minor mishaps. And the fact that they let you hang out at the pool so late and on top of that came over with a couple of cases of beer is AWESOME. What more could you want then for you party to never end!!! Jackie

We took over 400 pictures of our various locations and activities, so you never know, I might have it! Thanks Sarah, youre the best. I'm sure I'll come up with a few ideas of things I want to see. That never seems to be a problem with me. ha ha. I'm so glad you took so many pics. Actually do you have any of the poolbar, and the gazebo area. I've seen pics of them before but I often wonder what they might look like on a normal (not picture perfect) day for a vacationer. Jackie
  8. Thanks Sarah, those look great!!!

I would recommend you all do your reviews on Tripadvisor as well. It only takes a minute and if you had a great time I think it's a nice way to say thank you to the resort! Sarah, I agree, I think anyone who has had a positive experience should post a review on tripadvisor as well. There are definitly a lot more negative reviews than positive, and I'm sure its because the people who have had positive experiences just arent on there.
  11. Karla, The second vail has gorgeous detailing. I love it.

It is located in San Jose Del Cabo and is the farthest north resort of the Los Cabos tourist area. We stayed there for 3 of our 7 day scouting trip in September. It is smaller & quieter, than Dreams & Riu. The grounds are very pretty and the service is excellent. The food was not so fantastic, but it would be worth checking out. Almost right next door is the Royal Solaris, and the Crowne Plaza is right down the road. Another thing to consider when deciding between these 5 is the location. Presidente, Royal Solaris and Crowne Plaza are in San Jose del Cabo, Dreams is along the corridor of Los Cabos and Riu Palace is in Cabo San Lucas. We stayed at Riu for 4 days and loved it- there are many Riu brides on here that can probably help you if you have questions about that property. We chose Dreams for our wedding for a variety of reasons, but mostly because it had the wedding gazebo that we wanted, the quieter location and the ambience of the resort. Let us know how else we can help! If you want to see some pictures of Riu, Dreams, or Presidente there are some spread around on the forum, or let me know and I'd be glad to email you some. Hey Sarah, would you mind sending me the pics of the hotels. We think we are picking Riu because of its location but are still not positive. Thanks Jackie [email protected]

    Newbie

Welcome Novia, What a cool wedding location. Africa is huge though, what part are you thinking of? I have a friend that travels to South Africa every summer to help a small village and she has brought back some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. Jackie
  14. Congratulations Sarah, way to go. Jackie
  15. I think we might just go with a black band around the finger. Mine would be very thin. I dont want the tattoo to take away from my ring. No design though. Jackie I have a small tattoo that I got over in Europe when I was like 16, It didnt real hurt but I was also a lot tougher about stuff like that when I was younger. I hope I dont chicken out.

    I'm a newbie!

Hello Charrise, Welcom,You must be so excited. Just a month away. Jackie
  17. Tammy Ya I'm pretty sure I will have a band over the tattoo, but Ryan will just have the tattoo. Another plus to this is that I never have to worry about him taking off his ring. Ha, Ha he's stuck with it. Jackie

    hi

Hi there Jaime, welcome. This site is great for info ect. Check out the Arcade also... Ive never played computer games and now I'm hooked on Tetris. Jackie
  19. Ok, so I'm pretty sure we are getting tattoo wedding bands. Now I know what your all thinking... NEVER TATTOO A NAME OR A WEDDING BAND ETC.. but weve been together for over 5 years now and by the time we get married we will have been together for 7 years or so. I'm positive we will be together forever, so I say the hell with it Tattoo me up. Jackie
  20. I voted, sure why not, but its easy for me to do that because Ryan is not into strip clubs at all. Ryan is a guys guy all the way, he would much rather be hanging out in the garage with the Harleys than in a club with the Stripers. Jackie
  21. Congrats Congrats Congrats, cant wait to hear all about it! Wishing you a safe trip home. Jackie
