  1. I totally forgot to play the lottery today. Ah Man... Congrats Sarah. Congrats Christa, thats a big win.
  2. I like how its a little different then your everyday BM/MOH dress with the rouching ect. Very pretty.
  3. Welcome Candra, Everyones great around here for info, so ask away!!!!!
  4. omg, I'm on a roll...theres no stoping me now.
  5. Tammy, I have no advice to give on what to do or who to talk to but...I'm so excited for you. Youre going to be so happy you went. It makes such a difference to put a mental picture in your head of everything and everyone you talk to.
  6. Hang in there Tammy, I think you just need to get down to Cabo and be really stern with your WC and show her that you want what you want on your damn wedding day. Maybe her attitude and approach will change after that. Lets hope so.
  7. Sarah, I'm with Tammy and Karla on this one. Ecspecially If its a question of insurance and surgery. I really feel like the marriage doesnt begin till you get in that dress, walk down the aisle and exchange vows.

    Hello!

Hi Maria, If you arent getting any responses from Riu I'd check out Dreams resort. They seem to both be on the same level as far as hotel quality goes and the girls on this forum have had good experiences with them. Good luck to you.
  9. I'm really not sure why, it just seems easier to get the legal aspect done here in the States.

Hmm maybe we should have a bet to see if I leave their without smacking her around. lol I think you might just have to smack her around a little. Of course its easier said then done to be firm on issues when your face to face. I'm kinda quiet and unfortunately will back down easy when it comes to confronting issues in person. I'm much better over the phone, and I'm the best when I'm alone practicing what needs to be said, of course I guess that doesn't get me very far now does it. Ya know what, maybe your FMIL coming with you might just be a blessing in disguise. Especially if she is fluent in Spanish. She might be able to help you a lot.

I'm sure she said no because she doesn't want to spend an extra 5 minutes at the ceremony. So I will write can a note for him to read before he heads off to the ceremony. Tammy M, Maybe you should look into that a bit more. And if it is allowed, then I would definitly say something to your WC. It's your wedding day and vows are pretty important so if you want to say a few words of your own then you should. If its not that important to you then roll with it but if it is then speak up girl. Your paying the WC to be there.

  16. Congratulations, hey if you can deal with her at your house you can deal with her sun bathing by the pool right? I'm so excited for you, your going to come back so happy and relieved that you got to see things with you own two eyes.

I think flowers are well worth the money. I'm not sure where, but I read an article on Destination weddings and it said to try and keep the focus on just a couple of things (that way you dont spend a gazillion dollars). I decided that flowers, A signature cocktail (proabably Sangria), and the music was the most important to me. Other then that I plan to try and go the cheaper root on everything else. What colors are your roses?

I know I think we are pretty set on the Riu but mainly because of its location. I'm thinking there will be a lot of trips into town and I believe its a bit closer and cheaper to get there from Riu. If Dreams were closer I'd pick Dreams. It seems that brides around here have had much better planning with Dreams than Riu, and they are both equally as beautiful in regards to scenery/pictures/etc..

I'll go all out today and grab 2. But thats my limit lol.
  22. Kashmira, I'm not sure how much the speakers cost. But I'm thinking Tammy is right. For only an extra 190.00 (not to bad) you can have someone running the whole thing for you. Even if I did have to give him cd's of my own, which I would because I'm really anal about my music, it would still seem less stressfull and worth the extra cash just to hire a DJ.
  23. Congrats Sarah... OK now tell us how your rigging it.
