  3. Oh boy, that a tough one! Tammy's list of other great AI adults only resorts is good. As everyone probably knows by now I am partial to the El Dorado Royale, I would definitly check those out. Maybe check out Aventura Spa Palace also. It really depends on how much you care about yours and your friends wedding similarities. Like Janet said, I would definitly try to do some opposite effects at your wedding. Like she used beach you use gazebo, etc... The last thing you want is it to be so similar that people are comparing, which weather we like it or not, people do tend to do this.
  4. Here are a couple images I found. MP looks like a great place. Have you ever been before? Let us know how we can help!!!

  7. Good for you Tammy, When its all said and done it will only reflect goodness towards you if you do these sort of things. Just think, Not to long now before she is moved out!
  8. I"m not sure if this will help you or not, but you might want to google these places and see if they can help you in any way. I know a supermarket sounds crazy but from what I hear Mexico's idea of a supermarket is different from ours, you never know they could have exactly what your looking for. Chedraui Supermarket - Grocery Store in Playa del Carmen This is biggest and best supermarket south of Cancun. They have a large selection of import and national food items, fresh veggies, a bakery, household items, clothing, etc. Essentially US style shopping. ------ When coming south from the airport, as you approach Playa del Carmen you will go through two sets of traffic lights. As you go through the second set, you will see a big shopping plaza on your left, it is orange. Keep going south and you will come to a "Returno" which will allow you to U turn and go north. Take the U Turn and stay in the far right lane, and you can enter the plaza from there. Location: on the main coastal highway from Cancun, just south of Av. Juárez, the main entrance to PDC Panaderia del Carmen - Grocery Store in Playa del Carmen Baked goods and bread. Location: On 30th Avenida, between 6th and 8th street El Molino (excellent cakes, esp. pastel con tres leches) on 30th a bit south of Juarez

  10. Hello and Welcome, The RPR is a wonderfull place to get married. Your photographer looks amazing. I'm not sure what you mean by American Wedding Cordinator. Did you mean you want them based out of the US for more convenience or a WC based out of PDC but American? The rule of thumb around here in general is that the WC's based out of the bride and grooms wedding destination are the best, because they have access and knowledge to the best deals in your wedding destination area. They also have good knowledge of the language and know most of the vendors and are thus more capable of getting you a better deal money wise and are able to tell you who (DJ's Mariachi etc) has the better reputation and does the best work. Also, have you checked to see if your resort allows outside WC's. This is where I am having trouble. It seems in Cabo pretty much all of the resorts allow additional WC assistance, however in PDC there are quite a few resorts that do NOT allow this. My wedding resort being one of them. I would just double check with the resort to see. The good thing is that even if the RPR does not allow outside WC's at least you know that the resort has a very good reputation as far as their WC services go. With all the information on the web out there and help from othe brides around here you may find that you dont even need one.
  11. I love the little photo album. What cute ideas!
  12. Maybe just try concentrating on one thing. Stop thinking about everything at once, which seems to be what gets you overwhelmed. Put your mind on one task and tackle it. Then give yourself a breather for a day or two and move on to the next thing.
  13. Thanks, wow she does some really nice work. I cant wait to book a photog, I think it will be my favorite thing about the wedding. Ive always loved pictures!
  14. How sweet, I love that you captured it on camera too!
