  1. Yes most resorts have a bar or two for nightlife. The RIU's are probably more known for their nightlife out of the resorts you have mentioned.
  2. Hello and Welcome! If you have any questions feel free to post away!!!!

Their beach is such a bummer, I swear this is the only reason why most brides dont choose this resort. I mean really at the end of the day if you dont live right next to the beach than you are obviously going to the carribean to enjoy the beach! Have you checked out any of the other Occidentals. There is the Occidental Grand Cozumel which I believe has a nice beach and then there is the Allegro wich is in the RM also (I think) and Valerie is getting married there shortly, I think January 23 or something.
  8. Hmmmm, Id be weary if all the reviews are horrible, but then again trip advisor posts are so negative and a lot of the times its only the negative people who end up posting the reviews. Even some of the resorts that we know do great weddings and are great resorts (like for instance Dreams Cabo) have some really horrible reviews on trip advisor. Maybe this is why Tammy (host) never posted this resorts info. She might no more about it.

Leigh, am I reading this right. What do you mean by "on the list as a guest" do you mean that the bride/groom simply has to pay a guest fee for you to be on the AI resort grounds that day or do you mean guest list as in you were staying at the resort?

Johnathan as far as flying in a photographer than I wouldnt think this problem would be an issue because obviously the bride/groom would be paying for the photog's arifare and room. But some photogs are based out of the Destination area and therefor paying an additional nights stay on top of everything else for them to be able to photograph the wedding is kinda a bummer
  11. I really think you need to stop asking his opinion on things. I just do things before Ryan comes home, that way its done and he has no say. OK this project might be a little hard to do while Cain is at work. lol.
  12. I have just read two good reports on this wedding planning company. For those interested in Cozumel weddings. Cozumel Weddings, Cozumel Wedding Planner, Cozumel Mexico - Home
  13. YUCK who the hell wants a marriage like that. No offense to your sister. It only makes people miserable, although I suppose I have meet a couple men that like that kind of controlling girlfriend wife thing. Weird.
  14. Well, I still think it is by far the best idea! So you are just going to have to save money after the wedding and have it done. Um your sister cant let BIL even come over for a few hours worth of work? Is she younger, just boss her around thats what I do with my sisters, I ask politely and than if they disagree I demand politely.
  15. Well for me I wouldnt do it, only because I dont want to travel inbetween ceremony and reception. BUT, if you are planning on traveling inbetween the two anyways than this sounds nice. Ecspecially if they are close to eachother.
  16. You should be able to book at least the wedding date at the resort by March 2007 I would think. As for invites and STD's I would send the STD's out immidietly after you get your date booked. Thats just my thought on the subject anyways. We plan vacations way in advance and if I were a guest I would want to know about it ASAP.
  17. I like that! That way it doesnt take away from the whole idea that it is supposed to be the focul point of the room, but yet it makes it a bit bigger and less a little fireplace in the middle of nowhere.
  18. Hello and welcome. Try not to feel to guilty, as long as you dont presure your guests into comming than the choice is theres. And if they decide to go they also get a great cruise/vacation out of it. They arent just paying money for your wedding but a vacation also!

I agree, hes hot. You should have posted this as soon as it happend. Shame on you Glenda.lol.
  20. We are doing it before also. Keeping it a secret though so that it doesnt take away from the meaning of the actual wedding day for our guests.
  21. I think that Dreams Mayan is Dreams Tulum right? Tulum is in the Riviera Maya anyway. Yup there all all inclusive.
  22. Oh, thanks Tammy. All that to show a picture of a 15 dollar lantern I picked up for myself. lol. Question though, how come your picture of your fireplace is so much bigger than my picture of the lantern? I dont get it.
