  1. OK, I finally made it to the gym today. First time back since September! YIKES, 30 minutes on the treadmill, Abs, Lunges, dead lifts, tricep dips and pushups.....and I was exhausted, this isnt even half of what I would normally do. Oh well you have to start somewhere. So I weighed myself and it turns out I actually am the same weight even though I swear I have gained weight. I think I just lost so much muscle mass that the scale is being tricked. I agree, go with how you fit in your cloths and how you see yourself in the mirror nude. Thats a much better determiner for me than the scale.
  2. Jenn your wedding looked amazing. Great review!! Love the pics
  3. I agree, they are really cute and would be perfect if the design was just a bit lower.
  4. There really isnt any average, I dont think anyway. Some people go all out and follow every tradition and others keep some traditional components and toss some also. We for example, will have bouquet, wedding attire, bestman and maid of honor, a gazebo ceremony, and DJ reception with most likely a buffet dinner and ofcourse dancing and cocktails. And Photographer. oh and mother son dance. and first dance together. However we WONT be having.... Cake Garter Toss Wedding Bands (we are getting tattood) bridesmaids groomsmen father daughter dance I'm sure theres more but I'm not remembering at the moment. Really the whole point of a DW is that you can create your own special day and keep the traditions that are important to you and ommit the other ones.
  5. Welcome to the forum. There are a couple really helpfull PV brides around here Ann being one of them. If you have any more questions just start posting away and they are sure to be answered.
  6. Congrats and welcome home Jen. Your sig pic is gorgeous and I cant wait to see more. Headed to the gallery right now to look
  7. I'm late on this but my opinion would be buffet. Only because out of the many weddings we have attended we really prefer stations over anything else. I like the thought of my guests being able to eat whenever they wanted (in a certain time frame of course) or being able to pick out what they wanted etc. Just my opinion though.
  8. Oh what a beautiful poem Christine. I love E. E. Cummings, definitly one of my favorite American Poets.
  9. Thanks Valerie, I love the poles area the most. You must be super excited!!! When are you officially leaving?
  10. OH Good and then when you venture over to visit the Cape you can set the BDW book out on my coffee table!!! I could spend hours looking at that. lol.
  11. We will not be planning (I dont think anyways) any group activities only because we dont want people to have to commit to a million different things...ie. wedding welcome dinner wedding ceremony wedding reception etc... So I believe we will probably post our list of events on our website and if anyone wants to join in on any of our excursions then they will be more than welcome to.

Happy planning! hehehehehe I love lists. I make so many lists even my lists get confusing! Congrats and welcome to the forum. My advice would be to Narrow down a few of your favorite resorts based on your criteria and then start comparing their wedding packages and asking questions on the forum. We love to help if we can.
  13. I cant wait for the day when I can afford laser! What a time saver.
  14. Oh cute, I wonder how hard it would be to get them to Mexico.

  16. Just try to concentrate on one thing at a time. Get your location and resort choosen book the date and then move onto your photographer. Just my advice though .
  17. OK girls, I hate to ask and ofcourse understand if you dont.....BUT are you going to be able to post at least some of the less intimate shots!
  18. I hope you can get a few girls to go for this. If I were in or near Chicago I'd do it in a heartbeat. (After ofcourse I starved myself until the photo session )
  19. I think the Occidentals, Iberostars, are on the cheaper side and then Dreams and RIU's and than the Palace resorts and the El Dorado are probably the more expensive on your list! As long as you are willing to really put some time and effort into researching I think you could probably have your wedding for 6000.00, maybe a dinner reception for your guests at one of the resorts restaurants instead of planning a private reception with DJ etc for you and your guests would save you a lot of money.
