  1. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  2. That's cute. They seem to have a large selection of artwork.
  3. I'm torn on this too. We wanted to have something when we get home, but if we invite everyone, we would have over 200 people there. It kinda defeats the purpose of going away if we're still going to have to pay a per person charge on food and drinks. Now, I'm considering having something informal, but I wanted to be able to wear my dress again. I don't know and really don't feel like planning or even thinking about it right now. We have less than 3 months to go and I don't even want to mention the fact that I'm taking my last MBA class during the same time period. We'll see what happens...
  4. Thanks for the suggestions. Merryme - I can't wait to see your pictures.
  5. Ladies, I need help. Does anyone have any ideas for centerpieces or decorations with a red or red and orange color scheme? I've always wanted tightly packed deep red roses as my bouquet. However, the ones I want does not give a destination wedding type feel. So, I wanted to give the centerpieces and maid of honor flowers more of the destination wedding feel. Please post any pictures or ideas that you have. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Welcome to the forum! We'd love to hear what you have so far. Have you picked out a specific location in RM yet?
  7. General information on their private functions is attached. Private functions can be planned on terrace, garden or ballroom. I have a picture of the terrace, garden, ballroom or gazebo if anyone is interested. Hope this helps!
  8. Have you considered Moon Palace? It's an all-inclusive that's very kid friendly. They have a kids club and playground.
  9. I actually like the brightness of the pink. It gives you a pick-up during a boring day at work. But pink is my favorite color, so anything pink I will like.
  10. Hi Kim, Welcome to the forum. I'm getting married at Moon Palace on March 3, 2007. I've found lots of pictures and reviews from the knot forums or tripadvisor. Here's one that I found helpful that may get you started (read the review at the end). I'll try and get some additional pictures also. Cookie Test
  11. Hi and welcome to the board. I'm getting married at the Moon Palace. It is very kid friendly. It even has it's own kid's club. However, the biggest complaint that I've heard is the seaweed on the beach. Although, from what I hear the pools make up for it. Good luck in your planning!
  12. Someone forwarded this link to me. But I thought it was nice and wanted to share. For those who aren't familiar, Tracy McGrady is a basketball player for the Houston Rockets. He got married in Los Cabos. Enjoy! http://www.oursoiree.net/McGrady2/index.html
  13. Hello ladies, We decided to get married at Moon Palace for lots of the reasons that's been mentioned, including: 1. They have great wedding packages. 2. It's all-inclusive 3. Good ratings from other brides 4. Family friendly (we wanted our nieces and nephews to be able to come) 5. They pretty much do it all 6. Beautiful gazebo and horse drawn carraige 7. We've never been there. 8. You have access to all of the other Palace properties 9. Tours and water sports are included 10. It's not in the hotel zone (we didn't want to be with the Spring Breakers)
  14. Hi ladies, I'm from Chicago as well, it really is a small world! But to answer your original budget question...my budget was for $11,000, but it looks like that won't be enough. I find it so interesting, I thought just my closest friends and family would be able to come, but I'm finding that more and more people are planning to make it a weekend getaway. We sent invitations out and in the first week we had about 10 people RSVP. In fact, we haven't received any regrets yet. So, I believe after all is said is done it will be between 15 - 20K.
  15. Your pics are amazing! Everything is beautiful and everyone appears to be having a ball. Congrats!
  16. Thanks for the review! I'm getting married there on March 3, 2007. Does anyone know how long of a ride it is to get downtown from the resort? It's always reassuring to hear a positive review of the resort and wedding.
  17. I am getting married at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort on March 3, 2007. So far, I am happy with the service. Our main concern is our guests. The Moon Palace is not the cheapest place to stay and is located by itself. We're looking for alternative hotels for our guests that's less costly.
  18. Hi everyone, My name is Lenita. I'm getting married March 3, 2007 in Cancun, Mexico at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort. I'm glad I found this forum, as I struggle to find in depth destination wedding information. I look forward to communicating with you all. Thanks, Lenita
