They were the biggest hit of my OOT bags, just wanted to say thank you again. Oh and I think the gas and parking money is a great idea too! Don't want a repeat performance of the bags splitting on the train! LOL!

  6. Thank you so much for re-posting Sarah! I have been looking everywhere for your review, I have no idea why I couldn't find it! All that preparation and then whoosh....its over! I am so glad everything worked out perfectly for you both, you deserve it after all you put into it! Congratulations again and I wish the two of you all the best. I just know that you are going to have a long happy life together, anyone that looks that happy in a pic like your siggy can't help but be happy! -louisa
  7. Excellent review Edyta! Everything sounded wonderful and I will say it again.....you ALL looked so great! I loved your bouquet, and the table setting was perfect, simple and sooo elegant. Congratulations again, and I wish you all the happiness in the world!
  8. You all look so amazing and soooo happy! Congrats again to you all, and Tammy you and the hubby look so cute, he looks like hes already got the protective thing going on with your little bump!
  9. HI- honestly you will love it! The wedding staff are really attentive and can't seem to do enough for you. On top of all that the resort is amazing! The only problem we had was that as we were travelling in a group of 15 it was hard to get reservations (dinner) If it is just the 2 of you you will have no problems! The whole resort is geared toward couples. They kindly set us up a welcome dinner in one of the restaurants on our first evening there, and everyone got to sit together (at no extra cost) and again for our wedding dinner, we also did the free wedding package and it was really great. I know you can't help but worry a bit but you are in for a treat!
  10. OK, so I am a bit late with my congratulations but here they are anyway Sarah!! So glad everything went well. The whole thing flys by doesn't it!? Enjoy the rest of your vacation and I wish you both all the best! Congrats again to the new MRS!

We were married at the EDR about a month ago, and though we didn't pay extra for the private reception we did have a wonderful dinner at the resort. Our wedding dinner was at El Cocotal restaurant and in our pre-wedding talk with the onsite co-ordinator we got to pick out which menu we wanted and when we got there the had little menu's all printed out with our names on and stuff. It was cute! We didn't really notice everyone else in the restaurant and though we only had 15 guests with us, they did sit us all on one table and our cake was beside us so not much difference than a private reception other than the first dance stuff, guess it depends what your priorities are really? Hope this helps a bit, sorry I didn't reply sooner!
  12. Congratulations to you both, I am so glad it all went well! You looked stunning and so happy! Hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation and say good luck to Sarah for us! Have fun, and you too Tammy!
  13. Got this in an e-mail today......made me chuckle, but please.....don't try this at home!LOL! AMAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES 1. If you are choking on an ice cube simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat. Presto! The blockage will instantly remove itself. 2. Avoid cutting yourself slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold while you chop. 3. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by using the sink. 4. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer. 5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button. 6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you will be afraid to cough. 7. You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape. 8. Remember: Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. Daily Thought: SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES. NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.
  14. I also just had my dress in the regular bridal store dress bag, the flight attendants hung it up in a little hanging space they had and it came out fine. I didn't even need to steam it when we got there! Have to say though I wasn't quite as worried about it on the way home! LOL!
  15. Doesn't it drive you crazy?! I wanted to get a bunch of things for my OOT bags but the shipping was gonna cost more than the damn items! Grrrr! Damn border! LOL!
  16. Okay, here are a couple more, hopefully the right way up this time......sorry if anyone got a kink in their neck from sideways pics!
  17. Hi there! We just got married there a couple of weeks ago and it was amazing! We dealt with Faith before though so not sure about the new WC, but they will go over everything with you once you get there anyway so try not to worry. The resort is excellent and I am sure you will have fun. I wrote a review but if you have any other questions shoot away! Louisa
  18. I also used the crest premium whitestrips also, and wow did it make my teeth sensitive! I stuck with it though and found that I started to notice a difference in about a week. Did it about a month before the wedding so it stayed good, am starting to notice a difference again already though. Am a coffee drinker also, so must really affect them more than I realised!
  19. I am doing this right now too Melissa, and I want to shoot myself! LOL! I am so sick of it! How many nice things can you say about corningware?! Hehehe. Anyway my point is I just went to Hallmark and they had these really nice ones that were fairly simple with a seashell embossed on the front, really nice quality and perfect as thankyou's after a beach wedding (I hope!)
  20. Oh my! There are sooo many things to do around there its tough to fit them all in! I can tell you the places we have visited if thats any help to you?! XEL-HA is a snorkel park (kind of a lagoon) and is great fun, we loved it and there are lots of bars and restaurants in the park which is all inclusive, lots of neat fish to look at and the last time we saw a sea turtle swimming which was pretty amazing! They also have swimming with the dolphins there but we didn't do this so not sure about it! Most of the tour company's seem to combine it with the Tulum ruins and make a whole day out of it. You can't climb up the ruins at Tulum but they are still pretty amazing, and it has THE most gorgeous beach there! I have heard that Xcaret is good too but have never been so not sure? We went to Playa too but just strolled down the streets and checked out the stores mostly, didn't get down to the beach so not sure what there is down there, tons of really nice cafe's and bars on 5th Ave though! Only went to Cancun once and shopped at La Isla shopping centre, and visited a couple of bars there so can't tell you much about that! Hope you have lots of fun with whatever you choose to do though!
  21. Congratulations Glenda! You are going to be just perfect for the job! You always make everyone laugh AND come up with great pashmina finds! What more could we ever want! Louisa
  22. Yeah, it was the same for us too, I understand that they don't want the salt water blowing at you but it does spoil the view a bit! Oh well it was still really nice. As I said though, a bit pricey if you did have to pay!
  23. My hubby and groomsmen all wore cream linen pants and a plain white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, but they all had a boutenniere. It was just a simple one I think its called bird of paradise (nickname) but it looked quite tropical without being too over the top, which they appreciated! They just pinned it to their pocket on the shirt and it looked quite good!
  24. Thanks for all your lovely comments girls! Amy.....dont worry! I was like you too, but you will love it, I will say again though that while we picked out the bechfront gazebo before we arrived it was REALLY windy! This is why we changed it, but they were really accomadating about the changes! We were married on a Saturday and were the only ones being married on that day so they were open.....maybe check before you go how many weddings on that day? We also had to have all our final choices in before we left but they double checked everything in our meeting with the WC and we could pretty much change whatever we wanted! They have tons of pics there for you to see stuff, and they are full of suggestions, which I found helpful! I have to say though that I did love my flowers, they were so colourful and exactly what I had in mind but they even changed certain flowers and colours around for me! Nini_bride.....the candlelit dinners were very romantic but you are not the only ones out on the beach! There are quite a few other tables, it was also quite expensive, but came with our free wedding and honeymoon package! Bonus! We did do some of the "classes"! LOL! We played water volleyball, and also some of the dance lessons! We learned how to Samba!! They were no pressure and LOTS of fun! We also went to XEL-HA, (again) and highly recommend it if you want to try snorkelling, also went as a group to Playa del Carmen (for shopping) and into Cancun (to party!). All were great. We have been to Tulum before and I definatley think you should see it at least once, the beach and the view of the ocean is breathtaking! Hope this helps and promise to post more pics soon! Ask away at any other questions you have! -Lou
