When we were in cabo we checked out this wine bare La Santa. It is next to the Catholic Church in San Jose del Cabo. The pictures dont do it justice, but the bar is awesome. It is small enough to hold a private event like a welcome dinner or welcome cocktails. We really liked it and are thinking of using it as are rehearsal dinner spot. La Santa - Wine Bar

I travel through that airport all the time, so for me its no big deal to buy the wraps from there (no tax!!) But I also found this site: http://www.peachcouture.com/2plyArt_pashmina.html The wraps are $9.95. The 100% pashmina or pashmina/silk blends will ofcourse cost a little bit more ($29 and up). KarlaV

Ok ladies after reading everyone's comments about favors, I've decided to spend a little more than I had anticipated. But I think my guests will appreciate the thought. I want to buy wraps for the girls. And cigar holders for the guys. (no this is not a dildo!!) I thought I could drape the wraps over the chairs to go along with my turquoise and red decor theme. When I am in Cabo I will keep a look out for any vendors who are online. I will also let you know for how much the will sell them to me. I have a web address where you can buy mexican market bags, but they are not that cheap ($2.50-$12.50). http://www.directfrommexico.com/fest...oil-cloth.html KarlaV

La Casa Que Canta - Zihuatanejo
KarlaV replied to LCBride2007's topic in Zihuatanejo & Ixtapa Weddings
I have some info on having a wedding La Casa. It might be a good option for brides you want a smaller more intimate wedding. KarlaV -
I like the idea of long tables. I think they feel more intimate. You could also do a long table and some round ones.

Janet, I think that if he is not a metrosexual kind of guy, then all of those treatments will be lost on him. Trust me, I have a FI that is all about the manicure and hair stylist (not barber). He gets his eyebrows waxed! Its funny, because he spends more on those kinds of things than me! I love him though. Anyways, if your happy with the way he looks, I say keep him that way. But a maicure might not be a bad idea. Think about all the photos the photographer will be taking of the rings. KarlaV

Thanks for posting this! -
I'm having my wedding at the Westin. But, like you, I have never been to Cabo. I chose the Westin before becoming part of this forum. I encourage you to read the reviews in this forum concerning All-Inclusive (AI) resorts- they might change your mind. I was choosing between the Westin and La Palmilla. I would have loved to choose La Palmilla, but decided it was better for my guest to go with the Westin. As far as the Westin goes- I am not all that happy. The hotel coordinator sucks (she's not very prompt at returing your emails). Everything is VERY expensive. But you can get around things if you give them enough trouble. On the bright side of things, they have done a great job of incorporating everything I want. I'll have a better idea of things as the time gets closer to my wedding. I have attached some info from the Westin: I'm having trouble attaching files, so I'll attach some more info later. Maria Elena, You have expensive taste! -
Tammy, That is the most incredible thing I have seen! You are very talented! Have you considered buying the slideshow program Juan Carlos uses and make your own slideshows? (The program designer is the own who refered me to Juan Carlos). I bet you would create some great stuff. Its really easy to use. Let me know if you are interested in downloading the trial software. Post your wedding shoes
KarlaV replied to latoy_04's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Tammy, So awesome!!!! You are totally on my train of thought. I think spending a little extra on the perfect shoes is the way to go. I like the second ones you posted. I'm deciding between these two. The higher the heel the better!!! -
Ladies, I totally understand the frustration. The average reponse time for my WC at the Westin is 2 weeks. Its like they return all of my email until I gave them the deposit, and then they disapear! Whats up with that? KarlaV

Vegas Hotels: the good & BAD!
KarlaV replied to TammyWright's topic in Destination Weddings in Las Vegas
Vegas is my favorite city to visit!! These are the places I've stayed: The Palms: A lot of locals. The pool is great now that they have re-done it. A cool place for a bachelorette party. They really cater to those kinds of parties. THE HOTEL (at Madalay Bay): My favorite. It's a boutique hotel. Which means no gambling and a great pool. Hard Rock Hotel and Casino: Where the beautiful people go. Cabanas are cool, if you can get one (they fill up pretty fact). They have the NOBU restaurant, which is awesome. Caesars Palace: Older crowd. But the club PURE is great. Check out the restaurant Bradley Ogdens (I used to work there!) KarlaV Green Valley Ranch: Way off the stip, but I would go there for the spa and some very cool outdoor concerts by the pool.
