  1. When we went for our site visit, we stayed at Los Patios. It was super cheap but really nice. We were pleasantly surprised. It is not however, walking distance to the marina- more like a 5 minute car ride. It is also not on the beach. KarlaV
  2. Thanks Glenda- you are such a lifesaver (not to mention moneysaver!) KarlaV
  3. I am also doing one long table. I'm working with the Westin and they gave me the option of black table linens. My Westin coordinator quoted me $22/piece from a rental company. If you want, I can ask her which rental agency the Westin uses. KarlaV
  4. I know everyone is pretty much looking for tan suits... but my FI likes the dark suit look. We found some amazing fitted suits at H&M and Zara's. The suits were under $300, with an italian cut. They looked very modern and young. Just thought I'd share in case someone was looking for dark suits... KarlaV
  5. I saw this in another forum and thought it was a cute idea. They are cosmetic bags you can give your BMs. You can put any photo you like on it. Custom Photo Purses, Photo Bags, Personalized Bridesmaid Gifts
  6. DITTO...DITTO...DITTO.. ..about holding it against my friends who are not going to be able to attend the wedding functions (like my bachelorette party), when I said I wasn't going to care. Whats up with that? Why am I so pissed? I must be PMSing. KarlaV
  7. Thanks Tammy- I will totally take your advice! KarlaV

I used dark blue and sky blue font colors. I plan to tie a bow around each invitation with pretty ribbon in either lime green or yellow. Tell me what you think? Totally impressive!!!!!!!! You are very talented. I think I might steal the metallic aqua color from you!! KarlaV
  9. Janetta, If I go with this necklace I probably will not do earings. I think it might be too much. KarlaV

Here's what I like... KarlaV
  11. I am registered at PotteryBarn and Williams Sonoma. I'm still going to register at a third store, but I'm undecided at the moment. Any suggestions? KarlaV
  12. Hair- Makeup- Is anyone doing hair/makeup trials with a stylist at home? I would love to see some pics of those! KarlaV
  13. Another Karla!!! This is fantastic!! Welcome! I am one of the Cabo brides, so if you have and questions, just ask? KarlaV

  16. Here is what we were thinking for our honeymoon: BMW and Mercedes have this European Delivery program that lets your purchase (or lease) your car in the States and pick it up in Germany. They have drop off locations all over Europe so you take a roadtrip where ever you want. Italy, Spain, Switzerland! I think it sounds romatic and totally fun. Here are the perks: *2-for-1 airfare when you fly Lufthansa (If you choose to fly in Business Class from the U.S. to Munich, your companion flies for 75% off) *7% off the retail price *Tourist registration *Factory preparation *Inland European transportation from the designated drop-off point *Marine insurance *Customs duty and clearance *U.S. port processing and accessory installation *Wharfage and handling fees Check it out: European Delivery - - BMW North America There is also a very informative forum that has helped me out with all of my questions: European Delivery - bimmerfest - BMW Forums KarlaV

  20. Janet, I so sorry you had to go through that kind of stress. Ultimately, your hair and makeup looked flawless!! Thanks for the heads up. I think I will look elsewhere for my hair and makeup. I'm glad I know ahead of time. I might still do their bridesmaid mani/pedi party though. KarlaV

I thought it looked beautiful That is so sad to hear. Janet, did they give you a discount or anything for scheduling you with someone else? Edyta, I had my hair blown out by the stylist I go to in my home town before I left. We met with Juan the next day, so it pretty much stayed in tact. Thanks for the compliment. I actually have really curly hair, so whenever I want something special I staighten it. KarlaV
  22. The spa prices have gone down as of 11/28/06! The owner, Jonathan, told me that the new prices should be on their website shortly. He said all the treatments will be $15-25 less. I also talked to him about hosting a bridal spa day with my bridesmaids. He said they were his favorite to do. He hires a DJ and mixes martinis. The spa is small so if you have 6 girls, you can have the whole spa to yourself. Very hip!!
  23. Red is a cool martini bar in San Jose del Cabo. It is small and untra hip. It reminded me of a bar in NYC. They serve food and have an awesome upstairs VIP section. They have a really good DJ that spins cool music. When we went, it was full of locals. I think it is pretty new. There is a lot of contruction going on around the bar, but they said the construction would be over in january. This place is cool! It might be a good idea for anyon that likes go more modern.
