If you want to drop pounds fast, stick to a 1300 calorie per day diet. A good way to make sure you are getting enough protein is to follow this ratio: 22% protein (71.5g), 22% Fat (31.7g - yes, you need good fats) and 56% Carbs (182g). Keep doing your strength training (weights) AND do 1 hour of cardio 6 days per week (target 228 calories burned each session). The equipment at the gym is usually off by 65%, so if the treadmill says you've burned 100 calories, it's really only 35. No one ever tells you that and it's a bummer. Those are super cute, but are they tall enought to protect the flame from the wind. My WC advised us to get taller votive holders so we don't have to keep relighting the candles.

We have decided against the OOT bags. The Fiesta Americana wants to charge $5 for bag delivery and $3 for simple letters (i.e., a welcome letter). I think it might still have the welcome letter delievered so everyone is aware of the weekend events and start times, but we have decided to skip the OOT bags. That being said, we are having custom coozies made and will give each guest one at our welcome/rehearsal dinner.

I have been in touch with Mona at the Baja Cantina to make a reservation for a group of 20 on Thursday before the wedding. We do not need a special menu or need to have the tables rearranged (the regular tables that seat 4 are fine with us), but Mona told me she needs $500 to hold the reservation. My wedding date is 10/20/07. Yes - there is a big fishing tournament in Cabo that weekend and another one October 23-27. Luckily, the tournament on our wedding weekend is the smaller of the two. My BM's, the flower girls and ring bearers are walking down to Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole's "Somerwhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" song. They are going to start as soon as the Judge introduces us, so we have no idea what that song will be... only that it's festive. Ole!

The key to losing weight is to burn more calories than you take it. If you want to shred, stick with 1300 calories per day. Any less and you will start to burn muscle (very bad as muscle burns more calories when you are just sitting around). Good luck!

We are paying $750 for a mariachi band (the full band with horns and guitars) to play during our cocktail hour. We are currently WAY over budget, so this might be one of the line items that gets cut.

I think we are going with Marlin, Cabo, Fishing Charters, Tuna, Dorado, Los Cabos Sportfishing . My fiance is in charge of booking this (just this one thing), but he still has not done it. I made initial contact with them and they were responsive and had larger boats to choose from.
