Weather.com says it is at 6:51pm! I used the same cities for each search. And even stranger than that...Weather.com says sunset for May 10, 2007 (the same day 1 year earlier) is at 7:51pm? Okay, why would it be different from year to year? I am so confused. Seriously, I work at NASA and am going to ask some of my rocket scientist friends.

It says in the event he becomes ill and cannot make the wedding, he will provide a sub, which is standard. I emailed him and asked him who he had in mind. He told me Francisco Estrada or Manuel Burgoin. Manuel's pictures were the bomb! I thought Francisco's pictures were so so and after hearing this info, I really would not want him to be the back up for Juan Carlos. What do I do? Just not worry about it and hope for the best... obviously I hope Juan Carlos shoots the event... that is why I booked him. Or do I tell Juan Carlos my concerns about Francisco?

Angela, I had the same problem with my fiance. They just do not understand how important it is... We are also on a budget and building a house this year. My fiance just wanted his friend to take the pictures or just not have pictures! Finally, we agreed on a budget for the wedding that he feels comfortable with. Normally I would just say screw it, and go over budget... You only get married once right (hopefully)! But because the house is still very important to me, I decided to get a job tutoring to make the extra $. Needless to say, I booked Juan Carlos. Pictures were just something I couldn't skimp on. Maybe you could working something out with your man.

Do any of the Dreams Brides have any suggestions for flower vendors besides flower cart? I am getting ready to send pics of the flowers I'd like a quote on to my wedding coordinator at Dreams. I would like to be able to tell her where to go for a quote.

The drama continues with my crazy family! They have known all along that I wanted to do the DW (mainly bc I have to pay for this by myself... clearing of throat). I am giving them 14 months to save the $ and am trying to get the best deals possible. When my mom found out that she will have to pay about $2000 for her and her husband to come, she tried to "talk me out of it" by telling me that no one in my family is coming besides herself and my Grandma. She even complained that she did not want to spend all that $ "just to come to my wedding and have to take care of my 81 yr old grandma the entire time, and wouldn't even be able to enjoy herself". All the while my finace's family is totally on board and in support of it. In order to shut her up, we offered to pay my mom's way. And I told her that the wedding "is not all about her", but all she can do is complain. Not only is she complaining about taking care of my Grandma, she is complaining about the dumbest stuff like hard beds! This would be a great trip for my Grandma. She has never been anywhere like this and would have a good time. My mom would need to do a certain amount of babysitting for my Grandma, because she is old. But that seems like the least she can do! I mean, my Grandma is a wonderful lady and one day she will be dead and not able to come to Mexico! I think my mom is being selfish and should stop complaining. Is anyone else experiencing anything like this?

Hey girls, It never crossed my mind to book a minister, but I just talked to my coordinator and she said the entire thing would be done in Spanish and then she would translate in english. I dont know how I feel about that since neither me or my FI have any hispanic heritage at all and have never even been to Mexico. We are having a legal ceremony, so we actually want to get married down there. I was sort of happy about the cost of the marriage and all the paper work being included (besides the $150 blood work fee). Can anyone give me some feedback on why they are booking a minister? And is booking a minister expenisve?

Tammy, I just submitted a request form on your travel site. I am flexible on dates in May 2008. I just want to get married on a Sat and would like my guests to fly down on a Thurs.

Oh the host of the website is a TA? That's awesome! That would be great. I feel like I know some of you girls even though we have never met. This forum has been amazing and has helped so much. I am on here every day now. Well then Tammy, I will send you a PM about this soon.

Tammy, I am booking a year and a half in advance - may 2008. They are going to have to do better. Any tips on bargaining? I take it you worked through a TA and would recommend it? I am leaning this way.

Yesica quoted me $220 per person per day after April 15th. I am booking 2008 now, but am being offered 2007 prices. This is including the 10 room block discount. Do you guys think this is a good deal? Anyone going with a travel agent to get better deals?

show us your rings!
LRUSH replied to NABUMBAH's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I am stupid! I searched for rings on this site and didn't find anything, which I thought was weird. So I posted a new thread. Tammy, you can delete that one. Here is my ring. Lauren Oh La La!!!!.ppt -
Oh (sigh of relief). That is alot less expensive than I expected. I went to a destination wedding one time at Sandals Royal Carribean in Jamaica... We spent $3000 (including airfair) for 2 people for 5 nights. I guess Dreams is a little cheaper.

I am planning a wedding at Dreams Los Cabos in April 2008. So far, we have alot of friends who are so excited to go, but I am concerned about a few people (family included and 1 close friend) who may not have the extra $. We are building a house this year too and don't really want to offer to pay for a bunch of people. I am choosing Dreams b/c I think its the best deal for the $$ for us to have a beautiful wedding + people can have a neat little 4 day / 3 night vacation. For people who went to Dreams, how much did it cost your guests total? I want to be able to give people a heads up so they can save.

What I would do again, What I would change
LRUSH replied to NATASHA's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
Rebecca, I saw your slide show on Juan Carlos' website. Your photos are great and your wedding looked beautiful! I am newly engaged and thinking of going to Dreams as well. How long did you book your photographer? PS. Can't wait for that list!
