Just thought I'd share the idea of usig the bridesmaids bouquets as centerpieces. A friend of mine did that here and it made total sense for a DW! Since they usually just toss them aside anyhow and well they are not taking them home, I've arranged by centerpiece decor around using their bouquets. Their bouquets are going to be white cala lilies with white roses. Then put into a vase with white petals surrounding it. Along with other small candles to illuminate the table. I'm also playing with the idea of asking for extra petals or cala lilies to put in the vase with water topped with their bouquets. Any other ideas?

How did you like the your invitation, have you gotten them yet? Did you like the over all process? I already contacted them and received prices but am nervous because theres a deposit before beginning and then a lot of back and forth to design the invitations. Was it worth it? I'm only gonna need about 50.

OOT Bags *good price*
BRENDASTAR replied to TammyB's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I don't remember where I saw people discussing this but thought I'd share. I came across these medium toiletry bags at Target on clearance!! They are 5.25 H x 4.75 D. I couldnt find a pic. They cost $2.48 right now and they would really work for those boys. They also have a weekender travel bag for $4.98. It looks like a mini-carry on with organizational pockets inside. It's 8.5 x 11.5 x 3 D. They are both in black. We haven't decided which to go with yet. My FH really likes them and wants them for the bachelor friends. -
Okay Dreams brides....if the packages are similar (I'm will be a cancun bride), What package did you decide on? Did you use the photographer from the resort? Do you have to? What about the videographer? I have received both the photo packages and video packages and well can't decide whats best and really what it all means. They list say 115 photos (different sizes) for a certain amount. Is this throughtout the night or in total? I've asked the WC but I don't think I understand her about this part. And then how did you go about making your specific requests? DO you prepare a list of shots you want? Or leave it to the photographer? Any tips about the photography? Thanks in advance!

Which ones did you get the 6" or 10" ones? and you are happy with them. -

Thanks again for sharing your photos Rebecca. It really gets me thinking of all the details! It looks like you had the buffet for the dinner is that correct? Or is that the appetizers? If so, did you like the buffet set up? Still trying to decide between sit-down or buffet. -
Okay girls who have done this or have made their plans please help! How do you go about deciding what your week of plans is going to entail? Do you have to make arrangements with the WC or conceirge prior to for group activities, say dinners or tours? Or do you make then when you arrive? For those who have done this already, how did you like your plans, would you change anything? Did you feel you spent enough time with your guests? Any suggestions or tips? Thanks in advance!

Cocktail Decorations?
BRENDASTAR replied to BRENDASTAR's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Thanks a lot girls. I especially like the simple glass with flower idea but you all mke good points. It's only an hour so didn't think it should be much going on there. -
My wedding is taking place at Dreams Cancun this May. Now the ceremony will be taking place at the gazebo followed by the coctkail reception to be held steps away at the terrace. The tables are for standing at (probably about 6 tables) with some loungy seating around. My question is for those who did have the cocktail hour, and those who plan to, are there additional decorations involved? The tables again are small circular standing tables that are covered in white lines tied somehow at the bottom...I've seen pics and visited the resort. I was thinking something simple like add a small square place mat (cloth or wicker like material) in one of my colors to be put in the center of the tables. Possibly small vase with few loose flowers. What are your thoughts? Is this not necessary or worth it? I even found a cool vase that case serve two purposes (at cocktail tables and later surround the reception area) first it holds flowers, and then it has a second piece that can be inserted into vase that turns it into a candle holder.... What have y'all done?

Hi I'm a Dreams Cancun Bride to be wed May 20th of this year. I was just there in December to meet with the WC. She was very nice, organized, and professional. I also met with the photographer who had lovely photos. I have some photos of the site, however none with a wedding taking place. There was only one wedding taking place when we were there and it was an intimate ceremony between the groom and bride only. However, the coordinator showed us the multiple options for decorations and set up. They were beautiful. We are very much at ease now that we have paid a visit. Less than five months to go!! Any questions, let me know! Brenda
