Hey girls! Here are the centerpieces and the additional choices in flowers. Now I was told that if you have your own ideas on either, you can send her a photo and she will get you a quote for them. -
How Late Do Receptions Go?
BRENDASTAR replied to MagsieMexico's topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment
Several places (resorts) we were considering in Cancun and RM all said that if its outside, music must end at 11pm for respect to the other guests. However, if it was in the banquet halls inside, of course it could last much longer. But who wants to be inside? -

We have tons of questions!! Could you possibly give us a view on how things played out, how many guests, ceremony site and reception site you chose, how did you like them, food buffet or sit-down, food review, what you did for decorations, music, and cake? Anything you can share would be appreciated!!! Thanks again for stopping by here.

Hey Jilly, I actually tried to get Claudia as well but she was booked for my date. She referred us to her team member Erick, but I think I like Citalli's work better. I asked her for more samples of his work because I just wasn't feeling what was on the site. Could you take a look at his, and let me know what you think? I think I'm going to see if Citalli would be available. Claudia Rodriguez Photography

Thanks for posting that info! I'm not sure the photographer has a website either...I asked for one and she said he doesn't but sent me sample photos instead. I also met one of them when I went down for a site visit in December

Dreams Cancun reception location pics

It has stairs from both sides that lead to the beach and the other side to the garden area. It is in front of the gazebo next to the smaller pool. It has 4 or 5 (not sure what to call them) coverings with four poles for each. The doors that lead to the terrace are sliding doors that remain open which leads to the lounge area which may be set-up for a cockatail hour or reception. i have pics if you need more, email me [email protected] -
Jen's Totally Over-the-Top Wedding Review
BRENDASTAR replied to JENGONDA9's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Thanks for taking the time to post review....your wedding looked gorgeous!! Congratulations! -
Okay, yet another question! Again, dreams brides!! Did you meet with the minister prior the ceremony? (I'm doing a non-legal ceremony) Did you have a rehearsal? DO you provide your ceremony words, make suggestions, create vows? What should we do to be ready for the actual ceremony? Thanks in advance!

What Are Your Wedding Colors?!
BRENDASTAR replied to LEIGH's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Quote: Originally Posted by jilly76 Brenda, what are you using to drape on the gazebo? Did claudia give you some ideas? I was wondering about that as well. I think if you choose 1 or 2 colors as the main color and then throw a splash here and there of the other colors that will look really good, you don't want it to look like a circus. Maybe have the turquoise & white be the two main colors and then maybe your centerpieces can have some green or brown in them, or the favors, etc... Well she showed us pictures of using this cloth draping around the pillars of the gazebo, it looked really really nice, I liked it more than the flowers. I wish I had pictures to send you but it was when I visited there. Ya know, I'm actually going to ask her for some more pictures. You should as well, if I get anything I'll forward them to you. Thanks for your input....and if you have any other questions, let me know if I can help. -
What Are Your Wedding Colors?!
BRENDASTAR replied to LEIGH's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
My colors are chocolate, turquoise, white and some green. My question is how do you incorporate the colors without overdoing it? So far my STD were chocolate and turq. I'm planning to get turq and white drapery on the gazebo. My girls are going to be in either turq or chocolate. Maybe do bows in turq. on the seats (white) And possibly a turq. or chocolate runner or table cloth draped over white what do you guys think? How did other incorporte colors? I'm not a wedding planner!!! -
Buffet or Sit-Down?

See that's why I said I keep changing my mind. I thought the same abut having buffets all week. But we've actually started asking our friends for their inputs and they say buffet. I hear their food is really good so I think either way they should be satisfied. -
Buffet or Sit-Down?
BRENDASTAR replied to BRENDASTAR's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Thanks for all your opinions girls!! We most likely going with the buffet! But gesh my mind changes every minute!! We are looking at about 30-40 guests so a buffet makes sense. And people do like choices! -

The Cabo Surf likes to use these Mexican rug things....my coordinator asked to just have white linens instead (thank goodness she was there for me!) Have servers scoop out the food for people. Nobody wants to touch a dirty serving spoon. Have waiters bring the full plate back to the table for you. The Cabo Surf does this and it was a nice touch. It still felt like you were getting served a plate of food...it was just food you picked out! Thanks for your input! So you mean like you had servers plating the food while you the made the choices and then they escorting you back to the table? -
I'm still debating about whether to go with a buffet (for those picky eaters, more choice, etc) or a sit-down (more formal I suppose). My biggest question is how nice does the buffet look? I mean I wouldn't mind the buffet only if it is has a nice appearance (deocrative, levels of food) and doesn't look like you know, an old country buffet. Any thoughts? What are y'all doing? Thanks in advance!!

Ok so what are you girls doing for ceremony music? I much rather have live music but not sure which one, mariachi, carribean trio, guitarist, sax player, etc. And they really only play music for the processional, right? and so how does that work? Do you pay them for the being there the for the ceremony? And then did you keep them around for the cocktail hour?
