  1. I think the website is the best way to do that. You can take up a whole web page just to reiterate how they need to book asap. That way your STD's don't look all cluttered and overwhelming. On our website I put something like "Dreams books to capacity almost 100% of the time. Book as soon as you can. We would hate for you to miss out on all the fun!"
  2. Whoo hooo! Another 12/07 bride! Let us know if you need any help.
  3. I'm a gigantor too - 5'8. Brett is 5'9. I'm going barefoot for the ceremony and heels for the reception. I am such a shoe whore I can't imagine not having a great pair of heels for my wedding. I wear them every day so FI is used to me being taller than him.

  5. FI and I stayed here and loved it. The grounds are beautiful and the beach is great.
  6. We used photostamps for holiday cards with pics of the fur-babies on them. The quality is really good. We also just got a thank you card from a different wedding with the stamps on them and they were super cute.
  7. Welcome! Fill us in on all the details of the wedding.

We are going to see if we can find cheap coral down there during our site visit. If not it's easy to find here. Then we'll slap down a small vase of maybe 4 roses and votives. Hopefully it will be around $20 - $25 a table.
  10. I'm with you guys. There is only so much wedding talk I can subject my girls to - I don't want to torture them. It's so much easier to just post a question/idea to you guys then check responses on my own time!
  11. I found this site a while ago. Hovey Lee Designs - Handmade Jewelry - Home Page I love her stuff bc it's so simple. Also, she will work with you to make custom items - maybe for bridesmaids.
  12. Hey girls - I just saw these and thought they would make a super cute centerpiece and maybe even favor depending on how many people you have at a table. On sale! Mini Triangle Vases / Pack of 6 : Unique Wedding Favors - Wedding Reception Favors - Bridal Shower Favors
  13. I order a lot of stuff from JCrew - all my suits for work. They fit true to size and are good quality. Easy to alter. I'm guessing the dresses would be similar.
  14. Great info Natasha! It's all so helpful bc it's stuff I never thought of - like the dark suit tip.
  15. I love the drama of the fact she is eating cereal every night. That's such a little kid "woe is me" thing to do. It's not like she doesn't know how to make any other food!! She's a GROWN WOMAN!!! She really needs to apologize.
  16. I said "Shut up" about 40 times. There were also a few "Is this really happening right now?" Then there was a yes.
  17. Thank goodness there is someone else with this issue! I hate to make you be the test subject for this, but your wedding is before mine so you'll have to let me know how it goes. The problem isn't usually getting a place to say they will provide vegan food, it's getting the to actually deliver on the day of the wedding. Let me know what options you see on the menu.
  18. Sorry - my message wasn't clear. We did register for a charity. Actually, it's the only registry we have so far. I just meant that I know some of the old-fashioned guests won't feel like that is a real gift and will get us other stuff so we are registering at a couple stores.
  19. Those look fab! I am thinking about doing those for the welcome dinner. Question: Do you use all pics of the couple or do you put family and friends on there too? It'd be cute for the reception to find group pics of the B&G with the guests seated at each table.
  20. Brett was really against registering too. I finally got through to him by explaining that if we didn't pick a few things then people would get us stuff we didn't want - like lime green sheets or a crappy brand of pan. We really just want everyone to donate to the charity - but I know some people will feel like that's not a real gift for us and get us something else so we are registering for a few things.
  21. You poor thing! You can ship her out to Seattle if you need to. In fact, put her on a train ride out here - it will take longer. And I'm really good at being rude to people when I need to be.
  22. We had the same registry issues bc we've lived together for so long. In fact FI kept saying we should just not register anywhere. I booted that idea bc even if we don't register people will still get us gifts and then it would just be a bunch of stuff we don't want. So far we have registered at PAWS which is an animal rescue in Washington. People can just make online donations in our name. We decided this weekend to register at REI (if someone wants to get us sea kayaks or boarding equiptment fine with me!) We are also going to register at Crate and Barrel for the usual dishes and stuff.
