  1. Old Navy also sells pretty cheap flipflops - $2.50 each. I'm getting them for men and women. Men get red, women get aqua/turquoise. I'm just getting average sizes.
  2. I bought a package of 5 sessions. It was only $800 - they had this big sale after Thanksgiving. I'm waxing obsessed so I'm sure I'll have other places done. Underarms, face, arms, legs...do it all!!!

I actually already stole this idea - have the sign designed and everything. I think it will be a welcome break from heels.
  4. I had my first laser hair removal session today on my bikini area. I could barely feel a thing. Even if this just cuts my hair quantity in half it will be so worth it! btw - when we woke up FI kept says "sharks with freakin' laser beams on their heads" to get me pumped for the appointment. So normal.
  5. I spent an hour with the lady we decided to use to design our invites and I'm so stoked right now! Invites are really important to me (in my top 3 wedding items) so I want something super special. She is fantastic and I can't wait to see what she comes up with. Here is her website if anyone wants to check out her work: Paper Moxie..Announcing Life's Great Events. Invitations and Announcements in the Seattle Area
  6. I tried on a veil with the dress I liked. I love the look but I hate it when I see pics where the veil is blowing all around the bride's face while she is saying her vows. I just can't decide!
  7. Beautiful pics Rebecca - you looked amazing. I love the lighting. I'm so excited to have Juan and our reception at that spot!
  8. You have GREAT hair!!!! Love it! You guys are a very cute couple.
  9. I love Tae Bo (sp?). Cheesy? a bit. But fun and difficult? Yes. I also have Carmen Electra's striptease tapes. Hard? no fun? for sure.
  10. I love shoes way too much to have the reception on the beach. We are having the ceremony on the beach - no shoes, grounded in the earth (to feed my hippie/nature lover side). Then we are having the reception on a patio (to feed my red manolo-loving/wear heels to the gym side).
  11. So bailed on the gym last night bc FI got stuck at work (literally, it took him 3 hrs to drive 12 miles home) so I had to let the kids out to pee. I'm going tonight though and tomorrow. We may even go boarding this weekend too!

Apparently this sale ends this weekend (the 14th) - happy shopping! J.Crew > women's sale medium I got them - one was a strapless, the other a halter. The halter style was a bit too big and I couldn't fasten the strapless one by myself so I'm not super certain about the fit. I'm keeping the strapless one for sure because it would be perfect for a trash the dress session (if someone helps me put it on). After I went to a bridal salon to try on their dresses, I realized that I kinda want a more traditional wedding dress (at least with some lace) so I don't think the simple halter sheath is for me. They are great quality though - esp the strapless. The best part - one was $70, the other $80.
  13. I heart spaghetti squash. We just had it 2 nights ago. When I get home I'll try to find the recipe for this yum WW greek yogurt sauce. We had it with lamb and it was fab. It would be good w veggies or on a burger too. The FI made it (bc he's all into looking good for the wedding these days) so I'll try to find the recipe.
  14. I have my 2nd workout with my trainer tonight and I'm scrrrrrrrd. I couldn't use my arms for 2 days after that last workout. I pretty much know I won't be able to walk after tonight.
  15. You could put a row of tall vases along the top and put tall flowers in them. Thing tall, simple centerpiece (since we all have weddings on the brain.)
  16. Glad to hear that Lisa! Jose has been really good emailing me too. I think I'll go with them if they are still available. It's worth it to save $100.
  17. That stinks! The time part is a pain but at least everyone is ok - no injuries. Feel free to vent!
  18. Maye booked a Mariachi band for me for $550 an hour. Mariachi Los Cabos International is another band that is only $450 an hour. Should I just book the cheaper on my own? Has anyone used Mariachi Los Cabos International? I think maybe MariaElena used them. I remember she had some trouble getting them to her reception.
  19. I'm on my way to the gym right now. Tomorrow I meet with the trainer to do a leg workout so I know I'll be useless Thursday and Friday.
  20. I'd like to show sample pics to the photog not bc I want them duplicated, but more to express my FI and my personality. I don't get to spend much time with my photographer before the wedding so he might not get just how goofy/weird we are. I feel like by showing him that a ton of the pics I like are goofy he'll get me more and not be concerned about taking a lot of funny pics.

There is a whole post on koozies (insulators) somewhere on the site. Tons of people are doing them - including me!
  23. I like MAC, Bobbi Brown (for natural look), and Smashbox for primer.
