  1. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had a hard time working out in the last week. But I'm going to the gym tonight and Thursday for sure.
  2. That little girl is edible she's so cute! Love her hair - and her fab new dress.
  3. Or maybe you could move your wedding to a weekday? That way you wouldn't have to leave right away.
  4. We aren't doing a cake either - neither of us like it. We are looking to maybe do pies or just use the mousse Dreams has.
  5. I say no way to this one. I have been doing all my dress shopping alone so far and it's actually easier than you would think. I go in, try on 20 dresses, and am out in an hour. I immediatly know if a dress is a yes or a no - no advice needed. I think it would be so much harder if I had 5 people (or even just FI) with me saying everything looked beautiful. Guess what, every dress doesn't look beautiful. I think you should try to get one person to go with you if you really need it, but not FI. You only get that surprise factor once in your life. You don't want to tell your kids "the first time daddy saw me in my dress was in the David's Bridal dressing room."

I am wondering if I should contact a wedding planner or if I am just being impatient... About the dates, does anyone have opinions with weddings in that iarea n late June or July? Trying to consider the high temps and hurricane season, but we really didn't want to wait until the fall. PV I'm from Lancaster!! I went to grade school in C-bus though and my mom worked at OSU for 30 + years. I have tons of friends still there. I have absolutely no Cancun info to offer so in that front consider me useless.

Welcome!! First and foremost, where in Ohio are you from? I'm a Cabo bride but there are tons of people who can help you out with Cancun.
  8. We owe it all to you Tammy. Thanks for creating such a great place to share (and vent.)
  9. These sound like the kind of people who won't be happy no matter what you do. You could probably have your wedding in their backyard and they would say it was too far away. I agree with the advice of the others who say just stop sharing your decisions with them. If they aren't going to be supportive then they don't need to know.
  10. No way do you have to do that. You each have to wear them for life - you should get what you like. Unless they are completely plain bands I've never seen anyone with matching ones.
  11. This is late but...WELCOME!
  12. Anyone who hasn't done your STDs yet here is an idea. Get these (only $3 for 12), highlight the date of your wedding, and write a cute message on the sticky!!! You could even glue a magnet on the back. 2007 CALENDAR WITH STICKY PAD
  13. Thanks for the great review. I'm glad to know about the double-plating option. Our site visit isn't until August and I'm already dying to go!
  14. Welcome to the site! There are tons of Cancun brides to help you out - and we are getting more by the day.
  15. Congrats and welcome!!
  16. Welcome! Let us know how we can help. We love picking locations.
  17. This is my girl dog Ama. She's my baby. This is our boy dog Makalu.
  18. It's not too much to ask at all. I have not been to a wedding in the town where I live in years. They are all out of town and we always have to pay for flights and rooms. We only have 2 in our wedding party and are paying for 2 nights for both just because since they said they would be in the wedding they have to come. I know it's not in your budget to pay for all your party, but could you pay for 1 night for them? I don't think they would/should expect it but if you can swing it that would be a nice guesture.
  19. I just remember we flew into Montego Bay and stayed on the beach in Negril. It was about a 45 minute ride - and the ride was over bumpy/curvy roads. I just didn't think FI's grandparents would do too well with that rough of a ride. That was about 10 years ago though so there could be big differences now.
  20. I FINALLY got off my booty and went to the gym today. Best part was that I did a lower level on the step machine bc I wasn't sure if I'd lost some of my endurance but it was too easy!! Higher level tomorrow.
  21. We thought about getting married there when Jamaica was still an option for us. The downsides we found are that it was too small for the number of guests we wanted, it's not as much fun to lay out on rocks, no kids, and it's a long way from the airport. PERFECT for a honeymoon though!
  22. I'm dumb Sarah. I need more explaination. So, you printed 4 logos on one paper. When you cut them out, did you cut out right around the circle or did you just cut the paper into 4 squares with the logo on it?
  23. Sarah - Those look AWESOME!!! Question - Did you cut out the logo as a circle or square?
  24. Natasha - Do you have the world's tiniest waist?!?! I thought it looked small in your wedding dress - but in the tango dress!!!! My lord - do you ever eat?? I'm so jealous. You look amazing. And I'll be wearing the dress all day, all night, maybe the next day too!
