  1. I'm doing fake red rose because of the weight factor. I think the stem on a real one would too thick and the whole thing too heavy. I don't want it plopping out on the way down the aisle. The keepsake aspect is a nice perk I'd never thought about.
  2. I agree w Nicole. This was a simple convo about a photog deal that took a gnarly turn. Not what this forum is about.
  3. I think that it is totally fair for photogs on this site (who have always been informative and helpful) to remind the non-pros to be careful. Especially when the deal says $1. It seems unreasonable and it seems more likely that you would get screwed in the price of prints in the end. Example: I had to move once and had no $$ so I hired cheap movers. They basically hijacked my stuff and I had to pay more than I would have if I hired normal movers to start. I think that is what the photogs were doing. When they offer deals on here it has either been 1) for a contest or 2) to build up their portfolios. Because no one has confirmed this man's motives for a $1 deal - it is suspect. It is also suspect that you don't get prints. If he has a reason - then awesome. Go for it.
  4. Mine is wearing a light cotton suit. He will take the jacket off as soon as the ceremony is done.
  5. I agree with everyone else on this. It sounds like something that is definitely worth checking out...but I'd hate to see someone who had a small photog budget do this and then not be able to afford the prints they want because the prices are so jacked up. Hopefully, it really is a good deal. Anyone who goes this route - let us know how it turns out!

Who are you using? I still can't decide myself!!! I just put a deposit down for Suzanne Morel - the same person Christa used. I have read great things about her. Plus, they called me tonight and confirmed all the details of dates/what I wanted, etc.

So that pretty much helped me decide not to get them! It was an expense that I could use else where. Well I guess they wouldn't have to use it either and save it for when they get home?? Oh well! That was my exact thought process too! I thought about getting them for a long time - then realized that I've never brought my own towel to a resort.

  9. Dreams question about hair and makeup: I want to hire an outside person to do hair and stuff. How do they get on the property? I am assuming I don't have to pay for a pass for them. Help!
  10. I can't work out in the am bc I get up super early just to get to work (like 430 early.) I did go to the gym Tuesday and am going tonight and Sat.

I have been trying to figure out how to incorporate more coral into our design - hoping to use them in centerpieces.
