  1. Don't worry about it Tammy!! Take your time. We will be fine no matter how long it takes.
  2. Welcome!! I'm Cabo so not much help on the Cancun stuff.
  3. Thanks girls. We discussed the tattoo thing before but he's not into it. He's worn rings before so it's not impossible - it just have to be big enough!!
  4. As we were running tonight I came up with a genius idea. We are going down for our site visit in August and are bringing 4 big boxes of wedding stuff with us. After reading all these threads about customs I was getting nervous that they wouldn't let us through with all our stuff - I don't have receipts for all of it. Also, I figured it would be hard to say it was for our wedding with no wedding dress. So...I have 2 jcrew wedding dresses in my closest that I bought for $80. I'm going to take one of those with me so customs believes I'm getting married. Plus, I can leave the dress there and use it for my TTD. Think it will work?
  5. So we go to pick Brett's ring up today - it's an 8mm titanium jobber. We ordered him a size 8. He has this major ring claustrophobia thing. He's had it his whole life (it's not a commitment thing I swear!). If he puts a ring on and can get it off really easily he freaks out and gets really claustrophobic. He starts tugging at it and basically freaks until he gets it off. Also, his fingers swell and shrink a lot. He can vary up to 1.5 ring sizes depending on the day. As you can guess, the 8 was too small. I made him shove it on just to make sure. Of course it gets stuck, he gets super uncomfortable, and tries to pry it off. As he was twisting it to get it off it was making these awful squeeking sounds against his skin. He couldn't wait the 1 second for the lady to get the lotion to help get it off. We decided to go up to an 8.5. He keeps walking around the house going "you remember that time you made me try on that too small ring?" I may never live this down.
  6. FI and I went on a run today - about 45 minutes.
  7. I hope everything went ok!! I know those fires were pretty bad.
  8. The rates are the high season rates in December - just because it's in that Oct - March window. I'm not paying extra for vendors or anything. Our per person room rate at Dreams for the room block was $180. Brett wanted me to put this guy in here.
  9. Welcome!!! I'm in Seattle and getting married in Los Cabos. I love all the Pacific Northwest brides we are getting!!!
  10. Congrats and good luck!!!!
  11. Welcome!! I stayed at the Sheraton (getting married at Dreams) so I can answer any questions you may have.
  12. Good luck!!!! I can't wait to see how the fab-duo's wedding turns out!
  13. We get there Wed, married on Sat, then leave on Friday. I love coming home from a long vaca and still having the weekend to deal at home.
  14. The date and location are the hardest choices to make - you can do it!! We picked December 8. My favorite time to go to beach spots is between Thanksgiving and Xmas. Sometimes you bump into Hanukkah or Ramadan (like last year) but most of our Jewish family members are reform and our Muslim friends get over it. Anyway, during these few weeks places are pretty empty. When we went to Cabo the week before and through Xmas, the Sheraton didn't get even close to full the whole time. We did notice a lot more people arriving on Xmas eve. I think families that travel during that time usually leave around 12/22 - 12/24. The other thing is that the weather is great - not so freaky hot. Most kids who are in grade school and stuff don't have finals or anything, so this time of year is about parades and parties - they aren't missing much. My bro is going to be in his first year of college with finals starting on 12/10. my parents realize there is no better time for all of us and are cool with him coming. Hopefully he can rearrange. That is really the only timing problem we have had with this date. Hope this helps!! Whatever you pick it won't be perfect for everyone - but no date ever is.
  15. You guys are talking to a girl who just ate a huge ice cream sandwich because I had a crap day. We all do it. It's ok to do as long as it's not every day. Btw - my gym open 30 minutes late today so all I could do was run - no weights. That was the start of the crap day that led to the ice cream sandwich.

I eat one of those bars around that time because 1) it fills my need for chocolate and 2) the protein holds me over until I get home. As for soda just try to cut back. I tried to cut it out completely but that didn't work. Now I have max of 1 can per day.
