  1. I voted that you should stop thinking about it, when it happens it happens. I know that when Brett and I graduated college I really wanted to get married - but it didn't happen. Now, 7 years later it's happening and it's the perfect time. You need to not stress so much about when it happens. I know, easy to say when you have the bling, but it's true. All this time you are stressing about when it will happen is time you aren't focusing on the actual relationship and how great it is. Just step back, say "I have an amazing man who loves me and isn't going anywhere", and let go. Once you do that, the proposal will come. My second choice is get married without the ring. Rings are great and shiny, but they don't mean anything with respect to the vows and the promises you make. It's just a symbol - nothing more.
  2. Our court eliminates jurors when they say they can't pass judgment on others because their religion says only God can do that. Or X crime happened to my kid, sister, mom, etc and it would be extremely difficult to be fair and impartial.

I have talked to my own OBGYN and she said it's really no different than taking a baby to Hawaii. It sounds like the medical facilities in Cabo are pretty great if anything (god forbid) were to happen. Did any of you ladies have small babies at your wedding? Cabo is really very "americanized" so I think it will be fine but I'm not a mom yet so I don't know the extent of her worries. I don't know how to move this to it's own thread - but I'll reply. My family went to Cozumel with my bro about 18 years ago and he was only 6 months old. He was fine. And consider that it was 18 years ago and Cozumel wasn't nearly as developed as it is now. Same goes for the rest of Mexico. Baby will be fine!

I thought about that but we aren't doing cake. We are having a pie table instead. Once we do the tasting we will probably strike the dessert and just do pie - but I want that mousse!!!
  6. I'm going to be gone the same time you are or I'd do it!

  10. I'm going down for a tasting in August - I'll let you know!
  11. Everyone differs on this, but I think that you need to send them an invite. That way they know you still want them to be a part of the day even if they can't.
  12. Congrats!!! BTW - your FI looks so much like my FI's cousin I can't believe it.
  13. Too funny! That's like looking into a crystal ball at my future. JOKE!

That way for the wedding they just see the name (the table # will be on a card threaded though the loop that holds the tag to the luggage), but the address is there for when they use it.
  15. I'm doing normal OOT bags. For favors I'm doing luggage tags - but they are doubling as seating cards.
  16. I have to withdraw my hiking statement. With my face issues I didn't do CRAP this weekend - except eat brownies.
  17. That dress is amazing!!! It looks perfect on her - she looks so tall!
  18. If there is no one else to do it - I say go alone. You never get another moment like seeing your FI at the end of the alter waiting for you.
  19. If you are trying to save money it doesn't sound like you need the invites. But if it's not a money issue, I'd do it. I LOVE the formality of the actual invite - it's like a mini gift! I'm also a paper product whore so I love anything like that.
  20. Welcome!! We heart Karen and Jay!
  21. Welcome!! I've never even been there so I'm no help on the location - but let me know if I can help with details!
