My DH's cousin had this at his wedding. It was nice, but there were some parts we couldn't hear well because their backs were to us.

1. How old are you? 29 2. At what age did you/will you get married? 29 3. Do you have children? nope 4. Did you think you would marry the person you are with now? Totally. Even when we were broken up and dating other people - never a doubt. 5. Were you ever engaged or married to someone other than the person you are with now? Nope 6. Do you want a garden wedding, beach wedding, or the traditional church wedding? Beach 7. Where did you/will you get married? Cabo 8. First dance - classic waltz, slow and sexy, or fast and spicy? Slow for sure. I think we were too clumsy with my big dress to be sexy. 9. How many guests did you/will you have? 54 10. Do you want/did you have an extravagant wedding or a simple wedding? Simple 11. Vows - traditional or something you make up on your own? Made up our own. 12. How many layers of cake did you/will you have? We had pie! 13. Is/was your wedding/reception at a hotel? Yes 14. When did you/will you get married - sunrise, mid-day, sunset? Sunset 15. Did you/will you have your reception outdoors or indoors? Out 16. Plan every detail down to the napkins or let someone else decide? I planned what there would be, WC decided where to put it all. 17. How did/will the bride enter? Down a path to the sand 18. Song to walk down the aisle to: Unsignable Name - Mike Doughty 19. Song to make your exit: Signed, Sealed, Delivered - Stevie Wonder 20. Will you/did you have a solemn ceremony or a light one? Light - lots of laughs 21. At what age did you think you would get married? 30 22. Who to invite - practically everyone or a select few? select few 23. Wedding menu - fine dining or simply delicious? uh...neither. Just normal wedding food. 24. Champagne or red wine? Jack and Coke 25. Honeymoon right after the wedding, awhile after the wedding, or no honeymoon? Minimoon right away - big honeymoon a year later. 26. Was your/will your honeymoon be at a place special to you both or somewhere brand new to you both? New - Thailand! 27. Who will pay for the bills? DH pays the big stuff. I pay my own and my massive school debt. 28. Living together: Not before marriage or absolutely before marriage? Absolutely before 29. Anything else about marriage you'd like to say? Even after dating for 11 years and living together for 4, it does change things in a little way. You just feel more secure. More grownup.

We didn't have any trouble, but we also had receipts for everything we brought. We had votives, candles, oot bags, meds for the bags, pens, playing cards, pashminas, koozies, etc. and had no trouble.

Any ideas on where to start with vows???
-Kate- replied to JODEY's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We had a legal wedding in MX and wrote our own vows. Your WC should be able to give you a copy of what the legal wording has to be. You can add anything you want to the ceremony - you just can't take away or change anything that is there. We added two readings, put in our own vows, and added a hand ceremony. For the vows in particular we actually wrote them on a plane. We just started talking about what was important to us and what we each have to make an effort to do. For example, we have to both work to talk about what is bothering us right when it starts (we both like to fester for a while which makes it worse). So, we put something in there about sharing issues. We also wrote some funny ones. We each came up with about 10 funny vows, then each picked 2 of those but left the choice a surprise for the ceremony. -
It sounds like Yesica might think you are doing more of an a la carte approach. If you just tell her you want whatever Dreams provides that might help clear things up.

BM's but no GM...How will that work?
-Kate- replied to JUSTUSTWO's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We had two BMs and no GM. It looked fine. Do whatever you want. If those girls are all important to you, keep them in the wedding. -
Night Before and Day of the Wedding
-Kate- replied to jfwolfe72's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We have lived together for 4 + years. The night before the wedding DH stayed in his brother's room and I didn't see him until I walked down the aisle the next day. The day of I ordered room service for breakfast and had alone time in my room. I sat around and read. My hair and makeup people did my and my mom's hair. My BM stopped by and we hung out. They also took DHs stuff to him. I'm with Sarah - I wouldn't have done it any other way. I loved my alone time. -
I haven't read all the responses so forgive me if I repeat. I eat breakfast every day and it's either: fat free vanilla yogurt, fruit (cherries/blueberries/raspberries/peaches), and almond granola. I either make this or get it at starbucks. egg whites on a 8 grain english muffin with a piece of cheese melted on it. I use the muffins with no flour in them. In order to make the eat breakfast thing work, it has to keep you full. You need protein in there somewhere.

Congrats and welcome home!!! I can't see the pics either. Sad.

Bad news just flew into town... *UPDATED*
-Kate- replied to StephanieMN's topic in Just venting or funnies
This is not good! I hope she moves the date back, not just to give you the wedding day you deserve but to give her time to actually get to know this man. Once you find out what his history is let me know and I can give you info on what the charges actually mean. -
LALA's Dreams Los Cabos Wedding Review 12/07 (long)(pics)
-Kate- replied to -Kate-'s topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
UPDATE*** We got the video from Baja Video and it is great! The presentation and packaging are really nice. We sent them a few songs to use and they used them all and the timing is perfect. They gave us three copies so we can send our parents each a copy. They did spell our last name wrong in the credits - but we told Marci and she felt SO bad. She is so nice. She is making us three new copies and sending them out asap. Totally recommend them!! They were very professional and so nice. The final product is perfect! -
That is AWESOME!!! I'm so glad all the sacrifices you made for his trip are already paying off.

I watched this last night. It is the most amazing show ever. 1) I agree about that girl's face. 2) The VIP that was wearing the ed hardy hat looks like Janice from the Muppets 3) I loved the girl that passed out, then fell out of bed and missed elimination.

Dress Drama
-Kate- replied to TATrisha's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
This is supposed to be a fun/happy time so let's try to minimize the crappy situation sketch salon has put you in. Buy the second one so you can relax. Call the first place and tell them you are canceling because the 10 - 16 week dress has taken 18 weeks. -
Questions/help- Dreams Los Cabos Brides

I didn't do a package so I don't have any info on this kinda stuff - sorry! Also how does the legal aspect of the marriage process work in Mexico? I know we have to do a blood test and it takes up to 6 months to get the wed license sent back to us in the USA. Is there anything else about that thats important that I should know? I have been reading online a little, and I read that some people get married in the states and have a non legal ceremony performed in Mexico. I am trying to figure out what would be best for us. Honestly would it be alot less of a hassle for us to just get married at the court in the states beforehand? We did the legal wedding in Mexico. On Thursday before the wedding Maye came with a dude who took our blood. No pain, super easy. The judge performed our ceremony and Maye translated. The ceremony has required wording in order to make it legal - but you can add stuff. We added readings and a hand ceremony. After the ceremony we signed some documents. Prior to the wedding we had told Maye we wanted 3 copies of the wedding certificate so there were 3 we had to sign after the ceremony. Maye then had one copy taken to La Paz and had it apostilled. She dropped them off at Dreams and we picked them up on our way from Todos Santos to the airport on the day we left. In WA, we don't have to file anything. I'm not changing my name either, so I haven't had to take any of these docs to any agencies. That probably makes my experience simpler than others. -
Outer envelope return address?
-Kate- replied to Jentwo's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I got an embosser with our address on it and "stamped" it on the back flap for our STDs. Our invites had it printed on the back flap. -
We used it for our wedding and it was open until at least 10.

Has anyone ordered from Cudge.net?
-Kate- replied to michelle08's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I ordered clear and red votives and candles from here. They were great and so cheap! Good delivery too.
