I am picking it up from the library today. I can't wait to start it! Thanks for the "crying" heads up. That means I shouldn't read it on the bus (totally cried on the bus before with a book - not cool).

Here I am! That day works for me so far. I might go to vegas that week, but it's looking unlikely. Seattle/SODO works for me. I get off the ferry and take the west seattle bridge to 5N. Anywhere in downtown/cap hill/sodo/belltown/queen anne work for me!

Bill and Peggy are awesome. We were totally cracking up when we saw their clip. And the donkeys all got a lot of action that night. Love was in the air!

At least you know she wasn't uncomfortable in that situation. She's probably lifted her fair share of DD.

Here is our wedding video! Now, Brett had to mess with it and break it into 5 minute sections to put it online - so forgive us. Also, he had to make the quality crappier for the same reason. I think the parts are in order. Really, I just want those of you who don't know if you are going to do a video to see what they look like. MAURA: GET A FREAKING VIDEO!!!!!!

I had a friend get married on a mountaintop in shorts and hiking boots with just 4 people there. The "reception" was the hike down. That was their idea of a perfect wedding. I didn't want that. I wanted more of a traditional reception. There is nothing wrong with either option. Your wedding is just that...yours. You know your guests. My guests expected a reception so I provided one. I wanted it to be private. That is how we got our wedding. If your guests and desires are different, only you know that.

I just got an save the date from a friend and wanted to share the idea. It's just a normal postcard with a magnet on the back. On the front in the upper left corner is a picture of her and her FI from 2001 when they met. It's the first pic of the two of them and "2001" is written on the pic. Then in the bottom right corner is a picture of them now...but it's them re-creating the first pic. FI is even wearing the same sweater! "2008" is written on that pic. It's super funny. In between the pics the card says "It's finally time to Save the Date." For those of you (like me) that have been with FI for a long time this is a super funny idea.

We did the per person amount for food but did the alcohol by consumption. That saved $$.

To make you feel better: about 2 days before my BD pics I got some crazy infection on my mouth - totally looked like a full on herpes breakout!! It was gnarly. I did what I could with makeup and the photographer totally airbrushed it out. You couldn't tell at all in the pics.

I grew it out for our wedding and I feel your pain. I wanted to shave it off every day! I got it chopped off as soon and we got home and it felt SO SO good.

I say #3 because that's what I did. Easy and saves money. Everyone loved the parasols too!

I didn't change my name and don't plan on it. I don't mind if people call me that though. And I'm all for writing it/calling myself it if it helps make a situation easier - eg. dealing with bills, etc. I just didn't change it legally and don't go by it at work. I don't have any major feminist reason for doing so. I just don't see why I would. It's my name!
