But, my clothes fit better, and Jeff says I look better, so I guess you can't always believe the scale. Unfortunately, it's not that great of a stress reliever for me, mostly because I LOATHE exercise with every cell in my body. I can't tell you how much I hate working out! But, the good thing is that I have a workout buddy now and we do 3-4 days a week, and I try to go at least once more on my own. The problem is that we go at 8am every day, and we both work nights. So, some mornings I'm going to the gym after working a 12 hour night shift and having been up for over 24 hours. There's no need for stress relief- I'm so tired I can hardly function! I usually am falling asleep on my drive home- thank god it's only 10 minutes. Sorry to be a whiner- can you tell I hate exercise? The other problem is that I can't sleep when I work out- it gives me too much energy. This is great if you work out in the morning and sleep at night- but, I usually can't sleep when I get home (even though I fall asleep while driving- go figure?!). I got 4 1/2 hours of sleep last night, have to be at work at 5 and should supposedly have taken a nap by then (we'll see..., probably won't be able to). I'll work all night, go to the gym from 8-9am, then have a dermatologist appointment at 9:30. I'll go to bed tomorrow morning around 10:30, if I'm lucky. I often go for more than 72 hours on less than 10 hours of sleep. I said all that to say, I think this is why I can't lose weight. My body doesn't get enough sleep! I know you gain weight when you don't get enough rest and I think working nights is killing me!!! Ok, sorry to totally hijack this thread with my tired ranting- I don't even expect anyone to respond to this- I just feel better b*tching about it to someone! lol

Hey Amy, how's it going? I like the wording of the invitation and here are my suggestions: LOVE WAS MEANT TO BE SHARED WITH PARENTS, FAMILY, AND FRIENDS. Amy Lynn ____ AND Aaron Vashon _____ HAVE FOUND LOVE IN EACH OTHER. BECAUSE YOU HAVE SHARED IN Our (Or Their) LIVES BY YOUR FRIENDSHIP AND LOVE WE(Or They), along with our (Their) parents, Henry and "Jane" ____ and "Ann" and Lawrence _____, INVITE YOU TO CELEBRATE WITH US (Join us in celebration) As we (They) join in marriage (or exchange vows of marriage, etc) ON MAY 31, 2008 AT 5:00PM SECRETS CAPRI RIVIERA CANCUN RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO The way you had it worded was switching back and forth- from you and Aaron sounding like you were issuing the invitation, and then the "marriage of our children" part at the end sounded like the parents were issuing the invitation. Also, you need to decide if you want your wording to sound like it's coming from the third person or not. Some of your wording is and some of it isn't... If "Ann" is Aaron's mom and Lawrence is the stepdad, I would list "Ann" first. Just my personal opinion- this isn't necessarily proper etiquette. I hope that makes sense...If you want me to retype it with third person wording or direct individual wording I can.

Christa's Pro Pics - Cabo Surf
Sarah replied to A10CalGal's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
Yay Christa! Thanks for sharing- everything looked so FUN! I love your chair bows, and your bouquet turned out really cute. The flower in your hair looked perfect and you look smokin in your dress! I love the emotion that Bradley captured during your ceremony. I know we've had this discussion before, but what Mariachi group or trio did you hire? -
Our Cabo honeymoon...
Sarah replied to A10CalGal's topic in Share your Wedding & Engagement Stories!
Yay Christa! It sounds like you and Rafael had a very nice relaxing honeymoon. Relaxing on the beach everyday for 2 weeks sounds like heaven right now! It's so great to have you back, hopefully you can figure out how to post your slideshow- unfortunately I have no idea how to help you with that. Thanks for all the info on the restaurants- sounds like you two ate your way through Cabo! lol I'm also glad you liked the Tropicat tour- that was one we were considering... -
What a beautiful story! Matt, you get an A+ on the proposal. Great job, and how awesome that you have such great pictures to remember the day... I agree with the other girls, you two are just too cute. You can totally tell from your pictures how happy you are and that you belong together. I truly believe in fate and "soulmates". I'm so glad you both found yours!

Wow, I haven't posted here in a while. Probably because I did NOTHING for like a month! Anyway, for all you girls who keep telling yourself that you have 6 months, or 9 months, or 4 months, or whatever- let me just tell you from experience that that will FLY by and you will be me right now: 38 days away and wondering what the h*ll happened to all my time! That being said, I joined a gym last week and have gone 7 out of the last 11 days. My body is so sore i can hardly move, but desperate times... I typically do 30-40 minutes of cardio followed by alternate days of legs/arms. I also do lunges down the long side of the running track. Keep up the good work girls!

Show us your wedding dress!
Sarah replied to Jennifer's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I had my first fitting yesterday! I was holding out as long as possible because I wanted to lose a few more pounds, but I just had to get it done. Anyway, here are a couple pics. Sorry for the bad hair and red face- just had an IPL treatment a couple days ago! I couldn't decide on what kind of bustle to do. I really wanted a French bustle, but I just didn't have confidence that my friends/family would be able to figure out how to bustle it right, so I just went with the regular bustle. one button and loop and it's done! I also had the seamstress make the cathedral part of my veil detachable so after the wedding I can just wear the fingertip blusher as my veil. -
Anyone doing a candle ceremony??
Sarah replied to ~Melissa~'s topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I would prefer the "lighting of the candles" over the sand ceremony, but I know the candles would blow out on the beach! So, it's the sand ceremony for me! -
If you were planning my wedding..
Sarah replied to TammyB's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Ooh I LOVE Glenda's idea. Except I would do the whole thing AT the One & Only if it was me. I'm totally wishing that was what we were doing instead of bringing our stupid families...omg- did I just say that? Bad bride, bad bride...lol -
Small guest list, should we do it?
Sarah replied to Mishi's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I'm going to wear a garter, but I'm not tossing it. Neither will I toss a bouquet. I'm like you , Mishi, and I only have 15 guests. I never have liked the tradition anyway... -

I think my e-pic book is really nice. Now, I've seen the really fancy books that Leigh makes, and are probably similar to what Juan has. They are of course better quality, but considering the fact that I paid about $200 for my book as opposed to over $2000, I'm very happy. Everyone who sees the book thinks its fantastic. In fact, I'm making one for a friend at work after my wedding is over. Her daughter got married last fall and she wants to have a book done. I've seen both linen and leather books from Sharedink and think the quality is really good overall.

Question for Dream Cabo Girls about Menu!!!!!
Sarah replied to Natalie Z's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
My answers are pretty similar to the other girls'... Quote: Originally Posted by Natalie M I need help deciding on what to get for my apps. and dinner..... So I was hoping the girls that have gone and done taste testings would be able to tell me what is good. I agree that every single thing we ate was great. I don't think we tasted anything we didn't like, so is there something you had in mind that i could comment on? Also, what apps. are you picking? We haven't decided yet. Or, I should say it's still under debate! Jeff wants to pick really wierd stuff and I'm trying to put my foot down... One more thing, since I was going to do a sit down I was going to give everyone a menu at there place setting but now with a buffet what should I do You probably don't need to worry about it, especially since they should label everything on the buffet. If you absolutely WANT to do a menu (like I probably would, since I'm Miss DIY paper project queen...lol) I would do one per table. Thanks for your help!!!! -

Hola Matt! So nice to have you join us. I love the work that you and Sol do- some of your slideshows were what first attracted me to a DW, I have to admit. We're excited to have you both here and can't wait to see your wedding details unfold. Welcome!

We totally did...although I bet packing all that stuff helped a lot. lol- I HAD to pack this stuff up because I was sick of the 50 piles of wedding stuff all over the house! My dining room table hasn't been a dining room table for the past 6 months! I'm still working on our Pre-welcome letter (to get mailed 2 weeks before the wedding) and the actual welcome letter (to go in the OOT bags), my Spanish words and Phrases handout- printing on vellum and cute striped Mexican-y looking paper. I also have to do the menus for the welcome dinner if we can ever decide on a menu. Anyway, now I feel much more organized and able to make it through this last month. I labeled the suitcase with a list on the outside of everything that is in there so I don't feel tempted to give in to my OCD tendencies and count it 10 times a day. Now, time to clean my house. .....must.......pull........self........away...... ..from....the.....computer! -

I've been totally stalling on getting this dress done because I can't decide on shoes and I wanted to lose more weight- but, I guess I'm probably not going to do much in one month- lol! Oh well, he loves me as I am now anyway, so I'm just not going to stress about it! Yesterday I packed all our miscellaneous OOT bag stuff, programs, menus, fans, 24 chinese lanterns, 8 huge chinese wedding parasols, 95 luminarias and 10 pashminas into one large suitcase- it weighed in at 48lbs- woohoo! I made the 50lb cutoff! Now, I'm of course thinking about other stuff i could bring with me...lol the madness never ends! I thought I'd be totally freaking out by now, and I do have moments of panic, but overall I think I'm ok. Just excited! -
