Custom Coozies/Koozies

Coming in a little late here... Anny- those are awesome instructions! I agree with Glenda too- no offense to anyone else, but those get my vote for best invites so far. And those are just your SHOWER invites? Girl what are you going to do to top those when you make your wedding invitations? Jeepers! Once again- great instructions! Maybe I'll try something like that for my thank-yous!

Custom Coozies/Koozies
Sarah replied to A10CalGal's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
After much debate we decided we didn't want our names on them- just the date. I know, I know- I'm kinda regretting that decision now, but this was one of those things that I let Jeff have his way on! -
Post Groom and GM attire
Sarah replied to TammyWright's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
After much debate, we have settled on the Banana Republic suit that was posted by others (I think Kate?) earlier. We ordered that one and the JCrew linen suit and just preferred the Banana Republic one. The groomsmen are wearing linen pants with a lightweight longsleeved embroidered shirt. Total cost- $36, thanks to Burlington Coat factory and TJMaxx! Here's my brother modeling his outfit. His needs to be altered/hemmed a little and I forgot to tell him to take his undershirt off...oh well! -

I mean I can see if our wedding was larger and people say things to the bride and groom but that wouldn't really happen for us. I agree that Juan does a great job and your pictures will be phenomenal. His slideshow would be wonderful as well. However, don't worry about if "people" want to listen to your vows- do YOU? Most of what I have done concerning the wedding is for no one else but myself. If you don't care about watching a wedding video in the future, then don't bother! Jeff's mom and sister are so excited that we're doing a video, this way his sister can see it. I honestly couldn't care less what they think- I want a video so I can watch it again- I know it's kinda a selfish line of thinking, but it's MY wedding so I'll do what I want! I would still have a video even if it was just Jeff & I getting married by ourselves, but that's just me...

Yes. I hired BVP for 4 hours to shoot raw footage for me. A video was a non-negotiable item for the wedding, imo. Jeff didn't think we needed it. I know that I will be very caught up in the moment and will want to relive it a couple times. I also didn't want to stick any of my family or guests with the job of videographer.

Question about cake in Mexico

Jeff always does that to me too- just when I think I have something all figured out, THEN he decides to have an opinion! lol Can you put shells on the side and the monogram on the top? -
How fun! It sounds like you girls had a great time. Thanks for sharing!

We are having tres leches with strawberries and white chocolate inbetween the layers. We tasted during our site visit in Feb and it was yummy! -

At home teeth whitening systems….??
Sarah replied to destinationbride07's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I use Crest Whitestrips about once a year. I have fairly white teeth anyway, and I don't drink coffee and try to avoid cola so they usually stay pretty nice. But, I always notice a big difference with the Whitestrips. I have perfect strangers comment on my teeth all the time too- so they must work. One tip- avoid the Premium whitestrips- they made my teeth so sensitive I could hardly eat. I also always make sure I use Sensodyne whitening toothpaste for a couple months after I whiten. -
Lately I've been doing 4 miles on the treadmill 4 days a week, and then 30 minutes or so of either free weights, machines, or ab work. Today I did 15 minutes on the gauntlet (stair stepper treadmill thingy that totally kicks my a$$!), 30 minutes on the treadmill and 30 minutes of arms/abs. 4 weeks from today until the wedding- yikes!

I definitely wouldn't wear your dress on the plane- you'd probably have jealous brides trying to steal it off you! lol -
Melissa's pictures!
Sarah replied to MelissaH's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
omg Melissa- how cool! I feel so honored to get to watch your ceremony! Your vows were amazing- I feel like a total dork sitting here with tears in my eyes! I love how the mariachis burst into celebratory music as you were pronounced and the part in the beginning where you were trying to direct your sister down the aisle was so cute. Thanks so much for sharing! -

Painting parasols?
Sarah replied to anaderoux's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I'll check with Mariana- if she'll hold them for you... I know- we could have totally shared flowers! I'm not doing bouts for the boys or dads or corsages for the moms. We just decided it wasn't necessary and they didn't care anyway. It's such a small wedding that it just doesn't seem necessary. If we bought flowers for the parents, the wedding party, and the "master and mistress of ceremonies", that would only leave like 5 people NOT wearing flowers- just seemed silly to me! -
