What did you use for the S? Oh so many questions... I definitely found paper cheaper than on their website, but it is convenient to order it all at the same time. I used a font called Goudy Initialen (you can download at dafont.com http://www.dafont.com/goudy-initialen.font). It's just a capital S, printed on platinum vellum, then layered on champagne and crimson cardstock, held together with miniature brads. Make sure when you print on vellum that you let it dry for at least an hour before trying to cut it out.
  2. I also did Cards and Pockets Invitations. I got my templates from Christa, so the layout is the same. But, if you want to see my wording PM me your email address & I'll gladly share mine too. I only bought the pocketfolds through cards and pockets. I bought cardstock from paperandmore.com and cut my own inserts and invitation mats. I was already buying large quantities of paper for my other projects, so it just made sense to save some $$. A couple pics:
  3. I'm not sure how I missed this the first time around, but Jessalyn I think it looks amazing. I like that you changed to only 1 row of votives, and that was going to be my only suggestion. I thought the two rows was a little overpowering. I think this is gorgeous- want to come up with something for my tables? lol
  4. I worked for a veterinarian for 10 years, and I made this cake for our Christmas party one year. I actually saved the litterpan and kitty litter scooper in case I wanted to make it again. It looks really nasty, but tastes awesome!
  5. I think the dress is gorgeous! Don't feel like you have to have an informal, or "beachy" dress just because you're getting married on the beach. I bought a beachy dress the first time and ended up buying a second, more formal dress. Do what you want- that's the beauty of a DW!
  6. Aww, I hope you feel better soon Jill! Make sure to take it easy for a couple days and let your body recuperate.

Also, my ceremony is not on the beach, but at the gazebo on solid ground. Jessalyn, the ebay shoes arrived and are great- you're right they're very comfortable. I guess I was totally not thinking about the fact that I'll have a mariachi band playing while I walk- no, I don't think people will hear my shoes! I still think the third pair is my favorite, but I think it's just not going to work. My dress will be too short. I'm going to take a pair of 3" heels with me when I go back to pick up my dress on Friday.
  8. When I ordered my shirts through them, I didn't design it myself. You email your name and they give you a link to a page with already designed stuff. Here's the personalized stuff they show you after you email them your last name...The Future Mrs. Schneider : You Name It Gifts and Apparel : CafePress.com Go here to get to their "You Name It" Gifts section.
  9. Here's my mom's dress. I picked out like 10 dresses and had her try them on. She's actually my stepmom, but she has no sense of style so I wanted to be sure she looked ok- isn't that terrible? lol:
  10. OK, Miss Tammy, aka Martha. Don't you know we have a new DIY thread? Those are great! I think you should take pics and post them in the proper location...lol
  11. Aww, thanks Tammy! See- I do the same thing when I think about these shoes...I keep leading back to #1. But I don't want to wear #1! Seriously, I need to stop looking at stuff once I buy. I had to totally quit looking at dresses otherwise I'd end up with 3 of those too!
  12. Super cute Ann! I agree with Lisa's suggestion of moving Lucy's name up- I'd put it under "Flower girl". I like the Bride tank too. Cute colors! I ordered a "The Future Mrs. S......" white hoodie from CafePress.com. I'm really happy with it. I also have white boyshort underwear that I'm going to wear under my dress that say "Mrs. S......". Jeff loves boyshort/cheeky panties. I also ordered a "Bride" tank off ebay that has rhinestones. I guess I got a little carried away with this stuff! lol
  13. Help! As most of you know, I have 2 wedding dresses because I changed my mind on the first one. Now, I'm having the same trouble with shoes, except I have THREE pair! #1 This is the pair I originally bought. This is also the pair my dress has been hemmed to fit. They are really comfortable and classic. __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ______________________________ #2 This is the pair I totally copied from Jessalyn! They had more of the beachy style I wanted, and she found them for me on Ebay for a better price. They fit great and are really cute. However, they do make noise when I walk, so I'm not 100% sure... __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ______________________________ #3 Then, Jessalyn posted her first shoes for sale and I saw these. This is the pair I originally wanted, but couldn't find them anywhere. I first saw them at Nordstrom and they sold out before I could buy them. I didn't know what they were called & didn't have a picture, so I had no way to find them. When Jessalyn posted them we talked about it and she found them online for me. Cheap! These have the "bling" I was looking for, and are the color I wanted. But, these are 3" heels and my dress is hemmed for a 2" heel. __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ______________________________ Sooo....I don't know what to do! I like all three of them for different reasons, so I'm totally undecided about what to wear! Here's a pic of the purse I bought. I'll carry it as a clutch without the chain.: And, for reference, here's my dress...

I have occasionally found similar pricing on Expedia, but it's a random sale and there's no way I would be able to get all my guests to book at that price at that time. My room block rate applied no matter when my guests booked (at least, I should say, when I could GET them to book- but that's a story that's been rehashed too much already! lol) and I was able to reserve rooms over a weekend that has been sold out online for literally months.

I'd thought about getting my BM something like that, but since I'm already doing canvas bags for my OOT bags, I figured one totebag was enough.
  16. Too cute Ann! The girls will look adorable in those dresses. I can't wait to see the pics Leigh gets of them...
  17. Tammy- I don't remember who is coming to your wedding. If you have any older guests I'd do chairs. Otherwise I'd just have them stand. It's not like the ceremony is that long anyway. I've really debated doing this even with my 15 guests just to save $$, but I'm already having to pay for the coctail hour, so I might as well have chairs! I love the idea of throwing stuff. I had decided against doing it, but now you're making me want to reconsider. Or, I should say, Leigh is making me want to reconsider!
  18. We're all from Michigan, so our airfare is more, but for my guests staying 5 nights it's about $1200 each.
  19. No weights for me today because I was too sore from yesterday. So, I did 7 miles on the treadmill in 90 minutes. So tired!
  20. Those are gorgeous Anny. I agree with Glenda- you should be a wedding planner. At least an even planner! Your decor and ideas are phenomenal. Can't wait to see more!

  22. Congratulations Mishi! I'm sure your wedding will be beautiful. We can't wait to hear all your details. Have a great trip!
  23. I got this style with clear crystals, letters sSj. I got it in a block font though, not scripty like the picture. The large letter is covered with crystals and the small letters have little crystal accents. I got it off ebay and am praying that it arrives in time! Here's my cake- 3 layers
  24. I think there was a thread like this a couple months ago, but I can't seem to find it. Anyway- this was my list 2 months ago, and I just updated it today (thanks for the reminder!). It's kinda funny to see what I got done and what I didn't since February. I don't know if maybe something on my old list will remind you of something you need to do... To do list LOSE 20 POUNDS!!! lol does 5 count? Book flight done (last week- yikes!)
