  1. I thought Nicole had a great idea posting all of her wedding info in one place, so I thought I’d post a similar thread of all my planning info and ideas… Starting from the beginning… Invitations, STD’s & Monograms For our Save the Dates, we sent picture frames and an invitation: Picture frames from Walmart $3 each Paper, cardstock, and black gatefold cards from Hobby Lobby Engagement Photographs by Juan Carlos Tapia. You can view them all at www.jeffreyandsarah.shutterfly.com Each STD had a magnet that looked like this: Magnets from VistaPrint - Business Cards - Full Color Printing - Digital Printing Company | VistaPrint After January 1st, we sent a reminder to our guests to book their travel and get a passport if they hadn’t already done so. Here’s the postcard: Postcard from VistaPrint - Business Cards - Full Color Printing - Digital Printing Company | VistaPrint I made invitations using pocketfolds from Cards and Pockets: cardsandpockets.com Metallic paper, cardstock, and envelopes from Paper and More: Discount Wedding Invitations, Vellum Paper, Vellum Envelopes, Card Stock Source - Paperandmore.com Invitations were assembled using miniature brads from Hobby Lobby The “S†monogram on the outside ribbon belly band is simply the Capital S from the font Goudy Initialen. Fonts used for my invitations are Allegro & BD Merced. Fonts available for download from dafont.com. I had monograms made early in my planning. These are from Creative Montage: Creative Montage... For Today's Sophisticated Bride These are from knottie Aylee: http://www.gnyc.net/bio/b-monograms.htm#monograms Stay tuned...this is page 1 of 5
  2. Great bags Susan! I voted for #2, although I love both of them. I just think #2 is more likely to be used as an "everyday" bag in addition to an awesome beach bag. I love the monogram. I think your idea of getting the flower girl #1 bag is a good one.
  3. You have been planning a long time Nicole! That reminds me- once TammyM & I get married will there be anyone else left from the old forum that's not married? I can't think of anybody else right off hand...
  4. While I don't think that Tammy will be able to stay out of this thread, I think it's an excellent idea. I like the blog thing...keep us posted!
  5. OK, I'm retarted. I think I read the question wrong. You were asking if the bride and groom dance before or after the parents, not which one of the parent dances goes first...don't mind me, I've been off work for too many days and apparently my brain doesn't work anymore! I've always seen the bride and groom dance their first dance, then the parents' dance (and usually the bride/dad first). OK, now I feel better...lol
  6. I agree with the other girls Laura. Wait to decide until you get it. Take some pics and if you're game, ask us for our honest opinion. Most of us will give that to you- good or bad...

Can't wait to see you in it in person! 2 weeks...
  8. I've always seen the bride and father dance first, but remember- it's a DW so the rules go out the door! We're actually combining them and I will dance with my dad while Jeff dances with his mom. It's a small wedding so we figured this would spare people from having to sit through two of these dances... We're also doing our dances right away- before dinner, most likely.

  10. This is a great idea Nicole! We should each make a thread like this with all of our ideas and plans... Everything looks so good! I can't wait to see the end product!
  11. That's what I want to do too- I just can't figure out how to do it!
  12. I completely missed this thread! I feel like I'm so out of the loop lately! Ann I really wanted to order the #2 flower, but it was a little pricey for me. Although, if I'd knew how much I would end up spending on shoes I probably could have afforded these stupid flowers! Oh well, live and learn. Anyway, I love #1 too. Can't wait to see what you do with them~! I'm sure you've already answered this question, but are you having a veil? I can't remember.
  13. Why was I thinking it was a pin? It's ok- I'll put it in my bouquet and make sure it's visible for a couple good pics. The other thing I have goes on the ribbon on the stems.
  14. Yes, Lizzy- as the official BDW member I vote that you should have gone on the site visit too! lol I'm excited to hear what they pick- where were they going?
  15. I honestly think a pin would work better for those that either can't use blue or already have a focal point on their bouquet. I have a bouquet ornament that will go on the stems, but I plan to put the starfish farther down and hold it. So, I'll be holding onto my BDW friends as I go...pretty corny, huh? lol
  16. I know- that's why i figured I was safe with that bargain. Yeah, I can bring my camera and we can get our waitress/waiter to take some pics of us- they will think we're crazy! lol
  17. Ooh it's so cute! Nice photography too- see, you don't even need Juan. You can take your own cool pics! Oh wait- then you wouldn't be in them...lol

See- you were right, I should just wear my dress tomorrow. That way we could try it on with the dress! lol How about this- I'll wear mine if you wear yours...I can see it now- crazy sarah & tammy in the breakfast buffet with our wedding dresses on...wouldn't that be something to see? Now I know I plan to trash the dress, but not at the hands of syrup and pancakes!
  19. lol, yeah from some of the extended BS chit chat sessions we've had you'd think we talk all the time! Remember this one? http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2197
  20. Nope! This will be our first (and hopefully not last) get-together. She's giving me her starfish to use, and also lending me a necklace- isn't Tammy sweet? I'm bringing my b-pics and e-pics books so she can decide if she wants to do something like that...Or if she asks really nice maybe I'll help her make one later...
  21. Yup- I'll call you when I get there, or vice versa. I already have both photo albums in the car...
  22. Have I mentioned that you rock? Sweet! Where ya wanna go? Meet at the shopping center, or Cracker Barrel?
  23. I was just going to ask you to send me a pic if you have one! lol OK, the pearl one on the top is exactly what I was looking at today. Except I don't really want to invest in real pearls at this point in time (soooooo out of $$ right now! lol) and I couldn't find fake ones that had the graduated sized pearls like yours- they're perfect!

I wish I could get Jeff to work out with me. Last night he tried on his suit and was complaining about his fat belly. I said, well, you could be at the gym with me every day instead of shopping, golfing, and sitting in front of the tv!
