Ahhhh the suspense! lol girls, I feel so bad doing this to you since I know you're dying for pics! Edyta was able to post pics because one of her guests had a laptop and she could put her memory card in it and upload that way. Neither of us have a camera cable! I know, we suck! lol Edyta has about 100 pics from my wedding/reception on her camera...I bet I have 500 from other guests, not to mention Juan. On the wedding day, Juan shot us for 1 1/2hrs getting ready, then the 15 minute ceremony and for about 2 1/2 hours afterward- we are going to have soooooo many pics from him- our guests thought we got lost or something we were so late to the reception! Jeff LOVED the b-pics. Juan got his reation and from what I hear it was well worth it all. Juan said Jeff kept smiling as he opened page after page, but when he got to a couple of the more, shall we say, naughty pics he had a huge exclamation on his face- I totally can't wait to see it! The trash the dress session was awesome. We did some surprise pics on the beach at Dreams, something no one on here has done yet...- well, it was Edyta's idea that I stole from her, so I'll wait to post them until she has shown you hers, only fair- but they were amazing. Then, we went to Chileno Bay and rolled around in the water. Juan showed me one of them and it was incredible. Doing a trash the dress session is kinda hard- the water is splashing you everywhere, in your eyes, in your mouth, and your dress weighs about 50 pounds. But, I think we got some great shots- he's gonna make me a slideshow of them. I think it will take about 3 weeks though- he has Edyta & Karla's to finish before mine. Anyway, everything was perfect. Everything went off without a hitch. People were walking by my reception and commenting that it looked like it was from a magazing. My guests loved it, it was perfect and intimate- just like I wanted. OK, back to my hubby now- we get home on Saturday, so look for a review and some pics on Sunday! Bye chicas!

Hola Chicas! Just popping in really quick to say hi...Yesterday was absolutely PERFECT. I honestly can say that there is nothing I would change, nothing I would have done different, and nothing that didn't go EXACTLY as I planned. Mariana is amazing, Juan was incredible, and being there with my closest friends and family was absolutely perfect, not to mention having Tammy, Steve, Edyta & Terry there too! We have some amazing pics of the group of us, and my bouquet with my traveling starfish pic is with Edyta & Tammy- how cool! Anyway, trash the dress is tonight- Juan has some really cool ideas. I have tons of pics, but no camera cable! lol Anway, full detailed review to come, but I am so happy! I'm MARRIED and it was PERFECTO!!!!

Girls, Edyta was sooooo unbelievably gorgeous. I'm so lucky to have met her! I went to her wedding and it was amazing. Juan got some pics of us together, we'll do the same at my wedding... I have like 40 pics of her wedding on my camera, but don't have a frickin USB cable! If I can find someone with one I'll ask her if she wants to share them with you!

Congratulations girls- you all have earned it well!

Sarah replied to Sarah's topic in Destination Wedding Planning Journal
Aww, thanks Kash! -
Juan Carlos Tapia is from Cabo and that's who I hired. He already did my engagement pics and they are awesome! There are lots of great photogs on the board- see the links above. Another that I have personal experience with is Leigh Miller. She did my boudoir pics. Her work is also fantastic! She travels to wherever.

Well, I just jumped on here for a second to search for something. But, today is actually quite busy for me- I leave tomorrow morning for Cabo! If no one else finds it for you, save up your questions and PM me after May12th- that's when I'll be back. I'll probably check in periodically between now and then, but that's when I'll actually have time!

Welcome to the forum. There are a ton of Dreams brides on here. Happy planning!

That's it in terms of the dinner/drinks, etc. If you want more than the standard table cloths, napkins, those are extra. If you want music of some sort- Mariachi, DJ, etc...pretty much anything you want they can get for you at a fee. I'm paying for some extra decorations like chinese lanterns, luminarias, etc.

I'm having my ceremony at the gazebo (next Monday!) and cocktail hour immediately after at the same location- $22 pp. Then , my reception is at the Oceana Terrace, $22 pp, but I'm having Filet Mignon & lobster so there is an upcharge, total of $40 pp for dinner. My total cost for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception is $62pp.

I was too cheap to buy enough real rose petals for 70 people so I went with the fake ones!! Yours will look beautiful!! I know, it's come up soooo fast! Enjoy these last couple months because they seriously FLY by. I won't forget your wedding day- it's my birthday!

I'm pretty happy with them too, especially since they took me about 5 minutes to make! I have some fake petals, so if I run out of real ones we can use the fakes. Great minds think alike!

That one is cute too Jessalyn! Oh well, mine are printed, in the bags, and packed in a suitcase- too late!
-
Tammy I love the second one. Why don't you take this pic to the MAC counter and have them try the look on you?
-
Very cute Tammy! Here's what I did. I'm soooo running out of time, so I bought organza bags at Walmart- $4.86 for 12, and used fake petals for demonstration, but we will have real red petals at the wedding. I printed the wording on my champagne cardstock...

I just don't think I'm creative enough to come up with different ideas all the time. I have a hard enough time thinking up what to do for myself, much less someone else. They're not exactly professional. but they were rather expensive. For 5- 95inch runners and 2- 48inch runners it was about $80 for all the material and ribbon. Not the cheapest project I've done yet, but I think the look will be worth it.

I decided last weekend at the last minute that I wanted table runners. And, of course, I had to make them since I can't find anything to rent/buy last minute like this. So, I bought really pretty satiny fabric from Hobby Lobby and used iron-on hem tape to finish the edges. Over this fabric I put wide wired ribbon in two lengths. These runners will be on my square-shaped table arrangement at the reception, as well as on the paperwork & sand ceremony tables at the ceremony, and the cake table at the reception. You'll have to use your imagination a little on the pictures, because they are shown on a dark table with my poor little orchid standing in as a centerpiece. My actual table linens are white with a khaki overlay, with white chair covers and drowned red rose centerpieces. One down, 6 to go! This is my only thing left to do, so I guess I can save one thing for the last minute!

This morning I did 30min on the treadmill & 30 minutes on the elliptical. I took Sunday off, but worked out every day last week. I'll be in a bathing suit in 2 days- yikes!

Post your "Must Have" wedding songs

I have so many that I love its so hard to decide, but this one is in the top 5. It's funny, because before Jeff & I were dating, we were just friends and both with other people, but we both loved the movie Moulin Rouge. I know, we're weird. It's one of those movies that you either love or hate. But, we both love musicals so we enjoyed annoying our SO's and signing along with it. Fast-forward a couple years to when we started dating, we were watching that movie together and instantly knew that was "our song". It's such an emotional dramatic song. There was never any question for us that that was "the one". -
Screenprinting vs. Iron-on Transfers

It just wouldn't have been economical for the number I had to make. I agree with Natasha! -
Screenprinting vs. Iron-on Transfers
Sarah replied to starchild's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I only did 10 bags, but I did a 5" diameter circle of almost solid red and no where near ran out my ink cartridge. My color cartridge is about $40, so even using 2 completely up I would still have saved $$. The transfer paper isn't too expensive either. They probably took me a total of 4 minutes each to make. It just depends on how much you want to spend and what kind of look you're going for. -
How did I miss this Ann they look great! I think I prefer the blue actually, but the lime green is really cute too. I would just be worried about the turquoise not showing up well on the lime. I do think turquoise will look really cute on the white and black ones- awesome idea. See, you are very creative!
