  1. The people that I know that went had a blast- that's why I thought I'd post this, just in case someone is looking for a place besides the typical Vegas, Florida, Cali for a US DW. Oh, and I LOVE her dress. It's Rivini.
  2. Beautiful pics Elizabeth- I love your work! Congratulations on your daughter's wedding Julie- everything looks beautiful. Thanks for the review- I'm sure it will be very helpful to the EDR brides!
  3. I don't know if this will interest anyone, but one of the doctors I work with (and a friend of mine) just had her DW in Hershey PA at the Hershey Hotel. It was kinda fun planning our DW's together at work, even though mine was in Mexico and hers in the US. She had so many beautiful details that I thought some might enjoy seeing her slideshow... Look for her clear charger plates with the menu underneath, her wine bottles with their engagement pics on them, her favors which were wine stoppers in a brown paper box that looked like a package that had been stamped by several countries, her scrapbook guestbook, etc. She had sooo many great ideas! Anyway, here you go... Lisa and Jim
  4. Congratulations Courtney! Your pictures will be amazing- Leigh does such awesome work. I bet you can't wait to see Ann's pics now...lol
  5. I ordered my "The Future Mrs. S..." hoodie through them- super cute!

This is the closest thing for me as I really wanted a DW! If you've got a Mac you won't be able to see them. Also, if you're on a work computer or something with higher security you won't be able to...otherwise I don't know why... The best thing to do would be to email [email protected] for more info...
  7. Congratulations Jen! Everything looks fantastic. Your colors look great, your dress is stunning- your hair looks great too, by the way- I can't believe you can wear straight hair in Cabo! I can't wait to hear your review and see your pics from Juan. He told me when he was going to your wedding...

  9. Ahhh...the Scarlet at home at last! Kash's boobs- you look fantastic...Kash- you look AMAZING! I love that dress soooo much and I totally remember all your agony as you debated buying it. Now, seeing you in just these snapshots, I know you made the right choice. Your FI will DIE when you walk down the aisle. OK, let's hope he doesn't die- but you get the point. Just make sure you have someone standing by that knows CPR! I was very worried about the back of the dress when I was deceiving myself into thinking I might try to afford it- this was obviously a huge concern for myself with my weight issues. So, please take this is the absolutely best way possible because it's meant as a huge compliment- for someone who is not "teeny tiny" you have a fantastic back! The dress looks great! I think it really highlights your feminine figure in all the right places. omg I am so excited to see all your pictures now!
  10. I also just logged onto this thread to tell you Glenda that you are soooo sweet. My guests LOVED their pash's and everyone used them. I've also used mine since I got home. They were a big hit and much appreciated in the cool Cabo evenings...Thanks so much sweetie- you are a saint!
  11. Yes- it worked fine & it was loud! I have a Dell Music DJ...
  12. We did the legal ceremony in Cabo, the judge officiated & Mariana, the WC at Dreams, interpreted. We liked the fact that we were getting married in Mexico and the ceremony was in Spanish. I'm so glad we decided to do the legal ceremony- I know had we done a symbolic ceremony it just wouldn't have seemed as "real" to me. Just my personal opinion- I'm sure the symbolic ceremonies all the other brides have had were just as "real" to them...I'm just anal like that lol. We could have inserted our own vows, but Jeff didn't want to- so we just added in the sand ceremony & my dad & bother sang a song right before we exchanged rings. It was really nice... If you are interested, my entire ceremony is up on YouTube... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t5263
  13. Congratulations Tammy!! I can't believe this day is finally here. I hope your wedding turns out to be all you hoped for and more. Enjoy your honeymoon, then hurry back to us and get busy posting pics. You know we won't let you get away with less than 100 the first day...lol
  14. I've also had similar experience with Chris- he is sooo helpful and replies to questions with detailed "how-to" instructions. I am so excited that you got your book done Jessalyn! I hope you will share some pics of some of the "safe" pages!
  15. Jessalyn, here's a recent thread on timelines: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t5417 This has timelines uploaded from Nicole, Jenetta, me, there might be more- can't remember!
  16. We did not do any kind of grand entrance either. Like Edyta, Mariana had our Mp3 player going with our dinner music and we just arrived when we got done with our pics. People still saw us coming and clapped and cheered and whistled, but there was no big announcement- we totally didn't care. I had set up 3 separate playlists- dinner music, which I played on random; first dances- which was composed of our first dance, our parents' dance, and our first group dance which were played in order; and finally our party music which we again just put on random. I pretty much was always the one changing the playlist or messing with the Mp3 player. We have a Dell Music DJ and it worked great. Another friend had her IPOD with her, and we did get a couple requests through the evening which she just happened to have. We would just pause my Mp3 player so as not to disrupt the playlist and plug hers in instead. It actually worked great. We rented the sound system from Dreams.

  20. Congratulations Loreta! I'm not sure how I missed this thread...I am sooo behind since my wedding! Anyway, I can't wait to see your pics from Sol- I'm sure they will be unbelievable! Your resort pics are awesome- Excellence looks like a beautiful place!
  21. I think because I had said something a loooooonnng time ago about doing it, just in passing, but he remembered that. He also couldn't think of anything else I would be doing! He didn't know for sure, but that's what he thought it was anyway...darn him! He was still surprised though.
  22. Congratulations! Have fun and good luck...we can't wait to hear all about it!
