  1. Gorgeous Natalie! I'm so glad I finally got to see these...everything looks great- the flowers (even though they weren't what you had in mind they were beautiful!), your dress, your BM's, your centerpieces, your candles- you did a fantastic job! Congratulations! Now we begin the agonizing wait for your Juan pics!
  2. Wow Natalie! That was an amazing review...you've officially outdone yourself (and me and everyone else!) with that one. I was totally thinking about you on your wedding day- I knew I wouldn't forget you since it was my b-day! It sounds like everything was great despite a few bumps in the road; your pics are great- you look beautiful! I can't believe what a huge wedding party you had... So, what did Lance think of the bpics?
  3. Great pictures Stephanie- you looked gorgeous! I can't believe how tan you are! lol There are so many great pics, but i love the one where you are walking down the stairs and stop and lift your skirt and pose...too cute.
  4. Fun slideshow Juan. I can't wait to see the next forum girl's pics! You sure are busy...
  5. OK, I feel better! I thought you were saying things weren't going well...it sounds like you are just wondering where to go from here!
  6. Beautiful pics- looks like a great time! Hey, is that our Karen? hmm...she & Jason were getting married at Dreams Tulum, but I thought they were going alone...now i'm curious!
  7. I LOVE the Tiffany Novo...that's an awesome ring. OK, Catherine. I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds here, but please don't think that if things are stagnant that getting married is going to make them better. Please don't make that mistake. I have 2 friends that have pushed their DH's into getting married, and things are still not going well. One is getting divorced. Not saying that is going to happen to you, but I just don't think that getting married will make a relationship better, if it isn't already doing well. What makes you say things are stagnant?

You need to not stress so much about when it happens. I know, easy to say when you have the bling, but it's true. All this time you are stressing about when it will happen is time you aren't focusing on the actual relationship and how great it is. Just step back, say "I have an amazing man who loves me and isn't going anywhere", and let go. Once you do that, the proposal will come. My second choice is get married without the ring. Rings are great and shiny, but they don't mean anything with respect to the vows and the promises you make. It's just a symbol - nothing more. So true, and perfectly said Kate.
  9. I'd marry Jeff again in a heartbeat with no ring, in a courthouse by ourselves. When you're with the right person, the "material" stuff shoudn't matter. Getting married shouldn't be about how much money they spend on you, or how much money you spend on your guests, but about celebrating your love, commitment, and starting the rest of your life. Sure, I absolutely LOVE my ring. Jeff went wayyyy overboard in my opinion, but he saved for almost a year to buy my ring and wanted it to be really special. We are fortunate that he was able to do that. Is it necessary? Absolutely not. But, am I glad he did? Heck yeah! I probably stare at my ring at least 5 times a day still, and I've had it for over a year... Funny story, I was really good friends with the girl Jeff dated in his early twenties. They were together for over 4 years and while they talked about getting married, neither of them wanted to commit. His ex used to say that she wouldn't marry him with less than a 2 carat ring, and she was serious. He used to tell her he'd never buy anything larger than 1/2 carat, not matter who he was marrying. The irony is that once we started dating and were together about 4 months, we were talking about getting married and he wouldn't because he had to save up for this huge ring he wanted to get me...I made no demands or requests and ended up with my awesome ring from the guy who said he'd never buy one... OK, sorry that ended up long!
  10. OK, thanks for starting this Kash- great thread! I know other brides have done this and I think it really helps... I'll go! What I WOULD Do Again: Dreams Los Cabos: I know people are probably tired of Dreams weddings on this board, but I couldn't be happier with my choice of venue. The food, atmosphere, location, and service was perfect for my group. People can't stop talking about how perfect my wedding was. Be My Own WC, with the help of Mariana!: I almost freaked out and hired a day-of WC at the last minute. I totally didn't need it. I was very organized and planned well ahead of time. It saved me a lot of $$ I didn't need to spend. With all the resources on this board, and Mariana, who is AWESOME, it's probably not necessary unless you have a huge group. Juan Carlos Tapia: I think my pics speak for themselves! and on that note: Trash the Dress!: It was soooo much fun and we got such awesome pics, it was well worth the extra $$ to me. Buy a Reasonable wedding dress: Puhleeeeeeze, nobody take me wrong on this one. I LOVE Kash's Scarlet and wish my budget would allow for that! A dress is such a personal choice, but I set a budget limit in the beginning and decided to stay within that and not even try on dresses above that limit. I was able to find not one, but TWO dresses for about half what I budgeted and I felt gorgeous that day. There are moments where I wished I had a designer dress, but looking back now on that day, my dress was perfect for me and I have no guilt whatsoever about what I spent. My husband thought I was gorgeous, but would have thought I was beautiful in pretty much any dress. The 3K I spent on photography was $$ MUCH better spent, in my opinion. OOT Bags: My guests loved them, and used pretty much everything in them. Chinese Lanterns & Luminarias: These were relatively inexpensive and added a great ambience to the reception. Glow Necklaces at the reception: OK, this was probably the best 20 bucks I spent for the whole wedding. We had a blast with them- people probably treated them similarly to what others have done with chair ties, but no decor was harmed! lol IPOD Reception: For my small group it was great. I'm so glad we didn't spend $$ on a DJ. We played what we wanted, changed up the playlist a little, and saved about $500 (at least). Mariachi: They were great, and provided the atmosphere I wanted. Use Tammy as my TA: She was an absolute lifesaver on multiple locations. I'm still trying to think of the appropriate thank you gift, but it's just not coming to me yet...how do you thank someone who saved you tons of $$, busts their a$$ to make things work out, then attends your wedding as a friend? Way cool... What I WOULD NOT Do Again: Such Expensive STD's: Yes, they were pretty. BUT, I sent them to everyone and it totally wasn't necessary. I should have sent the nice ones to the people I knew would come, and just a postcard to the others. But, i had to "do it big" so I wasted probably about $400 on that...wouldn't do it again. Use Dreams Spa: This almost became my worst nightmare. Fortunately, I had learned to do my own makeup and saved my butt that way. My hair turned out the way I pictured it in the end, but I think it could have been better. Petal Toss: Tammy & Edyta were the only ones who threw them! So, if you don't have as many forum guests as I did (lol) and your regular guests are as clueless as mine, skip this one! I got one cool pic out of it... I think that's about it...if I think of more I'll add it!
  11. Aww Ann! You look so gorgeous. I got teary during your ceremony- it was so sweet. You could totally tell how in love you two are. It's so fun to see video of you in action, I guess since I've met you and "know" you! I didn't have time to watch the whole thing, but will definitely tomorrow...I'm glad you figured out how to share it with us. That's cool that you didn't have to rename the files to save them- I don't know why it makes me do that, I'm obviously doing something wrong! lol

Thanks for putting a good word in for me! lol I can't wait to see your TTD pics! (and wedding, of course!) Did you go to Chileno beach or did you do something else? Too cute/funny!! How often do you see pics of brides w/ bikini-clad girls hugging them?! AND you both look so damn happy and cute! I love it!! Thanks Rachelle! I do feel like a kid at Christmas! I was so excited when they came...probably more excited than Christmas... I love the pics with Edyta- actually I probably have 20-30 pictures with either Tammy, Edyta, or a combination of them in them. i should post them all in a separate thread. There are also pics of Edyta running towards me in her bikini, but she looks so beautiful and skinny I didn't want anyone to hate her...rofl
  13. My printer will not print on cardstock. Of course, instead of just buying a new printer (because I really like my old one) I printed everything on vellum and affixed it to the cardstock with adhesive spray or brads. I actually ended up liking the layered look it achieved. However, I just bought a new printer that feeds from the top (my old one feeds from underneath) and it can handle cardstock just fine. Does yours feed from top or bottom?
  14. Nope, Janet I can't see them either. Something about "site maintenance" or something...I guess I will try later.
  15. Aww, Kash you and Dan look so happy! You looked positively stunning in your dress- I can't wait to see your pro pics, these were so good! Thanks for sharing with us. Your cupcakes looked cool too- and your archway with the flowers was great!
  16. Aww, you look gorgeous Anny! Your DH must have been floored when he saw you walking towards him! Your BM's look so cute, and love how everyone was wearing white- so beautiful! Your bouquet is awesome, everything looked great! I can't wait to hear all about it...thanks for sharing!
  17. I love the idea of turquoise and green. I also still love hot pink (which would go great with either turquoise or green). My wedding was all beige & white with accents of red. I think it looked really nice in pictures.
  18. Great review Sarah. It sounds like things went really well despite Mariana not being there- that's refreshing to hear! Your set up looked beautiful and your colors are great. I want to see more pics of YOU! lol

I don't think it's what he typically does...
  20. Hmmm, I have no idea. When I use the Aoa ripper, it just saves it as one file on my desktop for me...
  21. Just an FYI- I just uploaded a slideshow to One True Media to see what the outcome was. It took almost 2 hours to upload an 11 minute video- much longer than any other hosting site I've tried (photobucket or YouTube). I'm not sure how I feel about the resolution either, but at least you can view it. I'm going to email it to my mom & brother- i mailed them the DVD (which is much nicer) but it will take a couple days and they're impatient- imagine that? People impatient for pictures...lol Anyway, if you care to see the quality (I have an 8 megapixel camera that takes really nice pics- the quality really is lost on this site) here it is... Jared's BMT Graduation at One True Media - share slideshows, slide shows, MySpace slideshows, MySpace codes, free video sharing, video montages.

One question, how did they come? What did you get for a photo album and such, I've always wondered what it will look like. They came by UPS, on DVD. One thing though- he sent a DVD of the pics, a separate DVD of the wedding slideshow, but didn't send me the TTD slideshow! I guess I'll have to email him and remind him that I want that one too- that way I can put it on YouTube or something, for the people that have MACs and can't see it yet. While I was in Cabo he gave me a brown leather album, and last week my 300 prints arrived from Pictage. They come in a box, and you have to put them in the album. Love the horses and the TTD too...HOT! lol, too funny- actually I think I'M the least photogenic person alive- Juan just does an amazing job. Are you kidding? Haven't you seen my slideshow I did of our nonpro snapshots? I look terrible in at least 70% of those! Don't worry, a great photographer can make you look good!
