You said something about a photographer account on shared ink, is that right? Could I ask how much it is? (I could have read your post wrong too!) I paid $130. It's really only worth it if you think you'll make multiple books...which I'm sure I will.
  3. I've never used iphoto either, so i don't know. I've also seen a snapfish book, and that's similar to the MP quality. They are relatively inexpensive. I also didn't care for the extra blank page at the end, especially since it has the MP website address on it. But, I actually think SharedInk does that too, unless you're using a photographer account. All of my books through them have been with a photog account so I don't know for sure. I just made a book for a friend through SharedInk. We ordered it last Friday, and she just got a shipping confirmation that it will arrive on Monday. So, maybe their turnaround is getting faster. That is definitely one thing that bothers me- it takes so long! I'm in the process of researching flushmount books right now. I'd really like to make one for my wedding album. We'll see...they are soooooo expensive, even just at "cost" no wonder photogs charge so much for them!
  4. Yeah, I figured this would be the outcome. But, the MP sale was so good, and I figured my bro's book would be a good one to try it out on. I'm not disappointed in the quality- I think the quality is very good. SharedInk is just better!
  5. I paid around $70 for my approx 8x11, 50 page MyPublisher book. Well, actually it was buy one get one free, so cut that in half. I paid over $200 for my 35 page 12x12 leather cover engagement book, and around $100 for my 12x18 linen cover 20 page bd book. My Publisher is definitely cheaper. SharedInk never has sales!
  6. Congratulations Christine! Your wedding is going to be so amazing. Can't wait to hear all about it! Have a wonderful honeymoon...
  7. I don't know if there's been a discussion about this yet, but since I now have books from both companies I thought I'd share my experience. I ordered a MyPublisher book (we actually 2- I had a BOGOF coupon) and just got it today. It's pics from my brother's graduation at Lackland Air Force Base. The book is here if you're interested in seeing it: MyPublisher BookStore I definitely didn't spend much time putting this book together, the layouts are nice and easy to use. It arrived to my house exactly one week after I placed the order. I also have two photobooks from SharedInk. My engagement pics and BD pics. Those usually take about 3 weeks to arrive. There are pics of those books on here somewhere! Overall, I think the MyPublisher book is of good quality, and because so many people on here have used this company I was starting to worry that I'd paid waaayy too much money for my photographer account on SharedInk. But, I just think that SharedInk books are better quality. When I look at the MyPublisher book's binding, the pages aren't even (only noticeable when you look directly at the spine, not the main pages), the binding isn't perfectly straight, and it just doesn't seem as "sturdy" to me. I was hoping I would like MyPublisher better because it's a little cheaper than SharedInk, especially if you're making tons of pages and want multiple books. Just an FYI for those that may be debating which company to use to make you own wedding photobooks. I'm sure I'll use MyPublisher again for random photobooks (like I did this time), but I'll definitely make my wedding book at SharedInk.

  9. Happy birthday to my young beautiful Christa! It sounds like you have a wonderful evening planned...wish I could go- sounds like tons of fun! Have a few drinks for us and be sure to take some pictures! Umm...didn't glenda forget to add to her rap "We gonna sip bacardi like it's your birthday.."? (or something like that) lol Make sure you do that too! Happy Birthday sweetie!

  11. Fun! I think it's fun when people change their username- for some reason it adds some excitement to trying to remember who people are! Now, this only works if you're a regular around here...otherwise i don't remember you anyway...lol I agree with Ann. I'd like to change my name too, but am even more interested in the improvements. Ummm, does this mean you're still a post whore? (still pouting about yesterday's post of trying to gang everyone up on me..) lol
  12. Woohoo! I'm so glad Jack is feeling better...how relieved you must feel! You gonna go after the breeder for the $$ or let it go? Just an FYI, when I worked for a vet we used to have to write things up for people all the time stating that they had a positive parvo test, and what date...etc. I do remember some clients at least getting the breeder to refund the purchase price of the pet, if not pay the bill.

I agree that everyone has their own opinion, but you've got this "woe is me" attitude about it, and it really surprises me. Just because kids will be at my wedding, it doesn't mean it won't be "my" day. Ok, I'll leave it at that because we obviously have incredibly opposite opinions about this. Just don't look down on other weddings, no matter how small or casual it is, or what the guest list is like. Quote: Originally Posted by akh I have to back courtney up on this. While I respect your decision not to invite kids, I don't know that you need to belittle those of us that chose to include them in our day. Well said...I endorse!
  14. OK Shelley- I LOVE them! I'm totally loving the ribbon you used, and the clip are is so cute! See, you are silly- they are so awesome! Your guests will really have fun with them...
  15. Sarah these are absolutely breathtaking- you are gorgeous! They are all so wonderful- isn't it next to impossible to pick favorite Juan photos!? I love them all, but really like the one where you're leaning on Ricky's chest and you're next to a rock wall...so sweet. They are so great! Is Juan doing an album for you? Oh, and we want to see more!

  17. I think you should delete your post- or it's info since they're being so snotty about it!
  18. Don't be silly! Mine are nothing special...I want to see yours! Besides, my wedding is so yesterday- yours is new and exciting!

  20. Catherine I'd be happy to make you one if you want to post or PM me some pics...
  21. See what you get for cheating on us Ann? No, seriously, just kidding. I think that was so nice of you to take the time to try to share something and they should be ashamed for being so hostile! I do not understand why some forums are so evil. Certainly not everyone at TK is like that, but there definitely are a large number...it's too bad because a wedding should be a time for happiness and sharing- instead they make it a competition. By the way, what contest is Leigh doing? I'm sure it's in another thread here somewhere...I'll try to find it. I'm so far behind on this forum it's not even funny. You all need to quit being so darn friendly and let a girl catch up to these posts!
