  1. That's so wierd Lisa. I have 4 credit cards and changed all of them over the phone in a total of about 10 minutes. I don't understand why they're giving you such a hard time! I still have some things that I haven't gotten changed yet and need to get on...nursing license, car insurance, and home loan. Guess I better get on that.
  2. Well, I don't think any of these get the use they were used to before this forum! lol But, in my rare spare time I like to: ride my horse read knit wakeboard ride our ATV shop! scrapbook / photography
  3. omg Trisha I'm so excited for you! Shawn did an AMAZING job planning this perfect proposal, and to have Leigh there- AWESOME! I'm so happy for you, I know how much you have been looking forward to this...he definitely didn't disappoint! Now let the planning begin! By the way, Leigh your pics are great, as always. And Trisha that ring looks fab!
  4. Thanks for the nomination girls, but I can't win- I won a couple months ago (June, I think!)...
  5. Great dress! It looks really comfortable, and I love the sash!
  6. They came from Macy's. I don't even remember what brand they were, but I just got them in the fashion jewelry department. I want to say they were like $40-50, which was alot to spend on earrings that aren't "real" imo, but they were exactly what I was looking for. If I get to Macy's in the near future I'll try to see what brand they are if they still have them. I bought them sometime last fall- they were one of my first wedding purchases.

    hello

Welcome! Let us know what questions you have!
  8. I prefer #1. They do have the same cut, so while I think either would be flattering, I'm not in love with the ruffle thing on #2, but that's just my opinion. I wore satin and I wasn't too hot for my may Cabo wedding.
  9. Welcome to the forum! There are lots of Riu brides on here...glad to have you join us!
  10. I did not want to feel rushed on the wedding day, so I schueduled my day as follows: 1:00- Hair appointment at resort spa. I went to the spa and drank champagne. I went all by myself and it was very relaxing. 2:30- Back to room to do makeup myself. My MOH, friends, and the moms started trickling in around 3:00. I finished my makeup around 3:30. 4:00- Photographer showed up and checked in with me, took a few candids and went to photograph the guys. 4:30- Photographer came back to me, took pics of me getting into my dress, and some formal shots of me. The ceremony started at 5:30 I got a mani/pedi at home before the wedding, so it was about 5 days before. It still looked great the day of. Hope that helps!
  11. Welcome Amy- just checked out your blog- nice work! Tami- you got a great photog! Can't wait to see your pics on her blog
  12. Yup, if you can't get #1 in Platinum, then I definitely would pick #3. I just love platinum, and DH LOVES his platinum ring. It was definitely a splurge for us (it's Tacori) but he still talks about it all the time...go platinum! Here's a pretty one, not sure if it's "celtic" enough for you though... Tacori (Official): Mens Bands
  13. Great review Jenn! I'm glad everything turned out so well despite the struggles with your coordinator. Thanks for all the info...your pics are great too!

  15. Could it be the printer? I guess I didn't notice a problem with my colors from them, but then again, they weren't that specific of a color- black, red & green. Have you tried increasing the quality of the printing when you print them out? That could make a difference.
  16. The Riu Palace is gorgeous- we stayed there for our site visit. We have several Riu brides that I'm sure can help you out. Happy planning!
  17. There are several Las Caletas brides here, I'm sure you'll get all the help you need

    hello

Let us know how we can help!
  19. I used Dreams. I probably should have searched around and used someone else like Edyta did, but I just didn't care that much about the flowers and was kinda "over it" in terms of planning stuff! I was happy with them...I had all red roses (2 dozen) $100, and my MOH had 1 dozen red roses ($50). My large floral arrangements in front of the gazebo were $150 each, and I paid another $50 for my petals. My drowned rose centerpieces were $50 each. Here are some pics:
  20. I got Jeff the B Pics, but didn't really expect him to get me anything. Actually, I kinda demanded that he NOT get me anything! We bought eachother's wedding bands (they cost around the same amount of $), and because he spent so much on my ering I didn't want him buying anything else.
  21. Oh i would have been sooooo mad! Glad you got it worked out...yay one more thing to check off the list!

Does that makes any sense? I totally know what you're saying Karen, and I kinda did the same thing. I didn't intentionally do the o.n.b.b. thing, but I guess it happened anyway. old: earrings...although not technically "old" I did wear them several times before the wedding, and they were one of my first wedding purchases new: shoes, purse, dress, underwear borrowed: bouquet starfish (thanks TammyB!) blue: garter (and starfish)
  23. OK, please try to ignore my ugly feet- but here's a pics of the actual flip flops. I thought I had one somewhere!
