The wiring was not included in the ones I bought, but I didn't need it because the hotel direct wires them- they didn't want me to bring my own wiring, but I had to pay them $180 to do it.
  2. Looks great Anny- I don't see the blurriness, but maybe my eyes aren't as good as yours (or maybe they're better! lol). I was able to get the leather cover for free Morgan. I also bought more codes off ebay so I'm gonna make a couple more books soon. I do agree with Tammy that the MyPublisher quality is better, but for free it's awesome!
  3. Here are a couple pics of my setup. I just used paper bags that I punched the top out of in a lace pattern, and I brought the chinese lantens too.
  4. Hey now- are you guys knocking my siggy software? lol j/k Great idea for the contest. By the way Ann- aren't you glad I finally stopped playing the lottery?

Sarah....do you mind if I use some of these pictures as well?? Nope- feel free! Just be sure to post a pic of the finished product because I want to see it!
  6. I used Juan Carlos Tapia as well- see my photo link under my sig pic. He did a phenomenal job, but like Natalie said, he's super busy and his prices have gone up. Keep that in mind...
  7. Very cool! Love the montezuma's revenge packet and the dog cookie:) How cool that you've got makeup too!
  8. Look around online to find samples of invitations you like, then recreate it. Do you have a style in mind? Then we could point you in the right direction. I made pocketfolds and printed everything at home from Word.
  9. Welcome to the forum Sarah! A wedding in the keys will be beautiful
  10. Jeff is looking at this right now, and he says to wear your goggles around your neck with the chest protector and boots... there- you have a motocross guy's opinion now! Wish I would have thought of that...lol
  11. What about his chest protector thing? I was just laughing at Jeff this weekend because his is mesh on the arms- I told him it was kinda sexy! lol You could wear that with some cute panties, holding his helmet bending over to pick up boots, or something like that...
  12. You girls rock! Jill, that last one is exactly what I need- but it's $274! If I thought I'd use it for more stuff I'd think about buying it. Hmmm....so what did you search for? Amy- I'll have to play around with it to see if i can do it in Photoshop Elements, that's all I have right now. Thanks so much girls~! I'll have to play around with this some more tonight- DH is on his way home, and I've gotta go make dinner
  13. Lumapix has some scrapbooking stuff, but not much, and nothing that would work in this case. I know- bummer- they need to get with the program!
  14. I've kinda wondered if I'll have to resort to that. I have no idea how to do it, but I imagine I could figure it out? I'd rather just buy it though! I feel lazy.

Even at my shower, she had one of my invitations on the table and kept going and getting it to show people- too cute. My parents weren't too blown away because they're used to me by now! lol At the wedding, my parents and MIL said people were stopping by the reception to comment on things and they kept going on and on about how I did everything. They kept seeing things like the personalized candles, luminarias, menus, fans, etc and kept exclaiming "I didn't know you did that Sarah!" the whole night- ummmm yeah, what do you think was in the 4 suitcases of crap I brought with me!? lol Anyway, there are so many great ideas on this forum now that weren't around when I was planning- I wish I could go back and do it all over again because there is soooo much more I would like to do!
  16. OK girls, just throwing this out there to see if anyone has any suggestions... I'm looking for a really specific type of clip art, or background, or icon- I guess I don't know for sure what to call it. I want to use something like this on a particular page of my wedding photobook and I just can't find the right thing. I'm looking for something kinda floral or abstract, that cascades- I've seen it in invitations, advertisements, catalogs, etc. Whiteaisle has a ton of these types of backgrounds and graphics... I'd love to find a source for this type of clip art- I'd gladly pay for it, but I just can't FIND it! I'm obviously not as good of a googler as I though so I was hoping maybe one of you might have a good graphics source... Here are a couple examples that I've "borrowed" from various places, but neither of these are exactly the right thing, although the first two are the closest.

Lots of DW stuff is the same though no matter what you decide to do.

    Hello!

Welcome NurseBetty from NurseSarah! lol Are you a nurse? Anyway, welcome to the forum- you'll find tons of info here!
  19. Congratulations Catherine. This is awesome news! I'm so excited for you!
  20. Welcome Cherie! It sounds like you have done a lot already. Happy planning!
  21. I absolutely didn't read it as you trashing Maye. I think your concerns were valid, and I hope that it helps other brides in the future. If nothing else, I think it's important for people to remember that it's very different dealing with vendors in Mexico, and sometimes things are done much differently than they would be here in the US. At times i feel like a lot of the WC's there are more "contacts" or "price negotiators" than actual planners- as we would view a wedding planner in the traditional sense here in the US! Thanks again for the honest review.
  22. Welcome Leia! So glad you decided to officially join us! It sounds like you're off to a great start with your plans
  23. Thank you for posting such a detailed review. I'm sure that many Cabo brides will find it useful. I'm sorry your experience was less than perfect with Maye...good to know.
